Growler filled at a brewery a week ago, and thankfully it held up very well.

Pours a huge creamy foamy like 2 finger head that fades semi slowly, good soapy lacing, very hazy apricot wheat orange colored beer.

Nose brings tons of fresh hops, a musty resin, grapefruit pith, dank resinous hop oil like fresh hop pop, then as that fades the tropical fruit comes through, mango, papaya, a little citrusy orange and juicy citrus juice, a bit of sweet malt under that but not a ton, little candy like and even a hint of booze wafts out.

Taste brings big creamy malt base at first, fairly sweet but not a lot, some malty characters but not a ton, then into hops and plenty of those too. Starting with more of the musty dank resinous flavors, with even a little hop oil, fairly juicy with tropical fruit, again a little mango and papaya as well as touch of passion fruit, but more grapefruit and citrus with pith and little orange peel. A hint of booze comes through with the sweet malts, and fair bitterness that all seems to balance well. Finish is drier and quite bitter as that orange peel and citrus really linger, little more pith and resin too.

Mouth is med to fuller bod, even a little creamy, decent carb.

Overall quite nice, a very good DIPA with great hops, nice citrus and tropical fruit with tons of musty resin, good fresh hops, nice malt base and balance, and just a hint of booze. Very tasty.

Presentation: 750 mL swingtop growler filled on Friday and enjoyed this Sunday. Chilled since filling. Poured into my Hill Farmstead tulip. Also, got to enjoy a sample of this at the brewery.

Appearance: Golden yellow to light orange in color. Still pours a nice, two finger head with nice carbonation.

Aroma: Grapefruit, citrus zest, and tropical fruit notes dominate the nose. Very tropical with limited bitterness. This smells fantastic and it is only heightened by the freshness.

Taste: Loads of grapefruit, mango, pineapple with just a slight bitter finish and a touch of pine. Incredible fresh hop notes. The galaxy is definitely there and adds a lot of depth. The alcohol is nicely hidden and it is nice and dry.

Mouthfeel: Crisp and medium bodied. not heavy at all.

Overall, a really nice hop blend for this version of their double IPA. Really tropical and fresh. Definitely enjoying the glasses I am drinking.
