Solid stout featuring an almost Mounds Bar flavor. Dark Chocolate with a really nice coconut flavor. Was served in a pint at the brewery so hard to get a good nose from it.

Pours pitch black color with a small head that faded in average time and left basically no lacing. Smells of dark chocolate, molasses, smoked grains, cinnamon, vanilla, spices and French toast covered in syrup. Aroma is just as much breakfast as it is a stout.
Tastes of strong vanilla and cinnamon up front, with hints of apple pie mixed in with dark chocolate, molasses, burnt coffee grinds, caramel, brown sugar, maple syrup, smoked malts and French toast. It’s interesting and complex, but a tad bit too sweet for my liking as the cinnamon is too much IMO.

Poured moderately from a tall can into a snifter glass, forming a finger of foamy dark brown head that soon faded to nothing. Black bodied, totally opaque. Smell is sweet cinnamon, not too strong. Taste is definitely sweet that I can just barely tell is maple oriented, cinnamon taste comes first but isn't too intense. A bit of heat after a sip from the 14% ABV, as well as some lingering sweetness. Thick bodied with a bit of oiliness, very light carbonation if any. Pretty intense dessert beer that's definitely a sipper.

16oz can poured into a can-shaped nonic.
A: Pours a dense, viscous opaque black with a tight-bubbled dark brown head that fizzles away.
S&T: Moderate present maple syrup sweetness and subdued vanilla, with a present cinnamon that isn't overwhelming and complements nicely. Lots of milk chocolate as well.
MF & O: Thick mouthfeel, consistent maple syrup sweetness in the viscous and somewhat sticky body; just a delicious pastry stout with consistent notes of French toast.

Excellent head production and retention for the style and ABV.
Nice balance of roasted malt and maple syrup on the nose, complemented by notes of toast, vanilla, cinnamon, and mild char.
For all the sweet additives, it's almost a touch flat, in terms of flavor, up front. Definitely still carries plenty of roast from the malt base. As the sip progresses, the maple comes through a little stronger, a mixture of sweetness and woody tones, complemented by the cinnamon. Very little alcohol heat. Full bodied and sticky.
For a 14% ABV brew, this is really smooth. To its detriment, it straddles the line between a big roasty imperial stout and a sweet pastry stout - really not going all in with either aspect, and occupying an awkward middle. It's very tasty, but it doesn't have me scrambling to buy more.
