Enjoyed from a growler from Jungle Jim's in a DFH snifter. This delicious milk stout pours a rich blackish brown with a solid brownish tan head of tight beaded bubbles that dissipates to a thin layer, thick ring, and light lacing. Nose of chocolate, sweet lactose sugars, and a touch of black coffee. Flavors are exceedingly well balanced with a chocolate milk shake flavor up front and on the sides, moderate black bitter coffee notes to the rear, and an ever so mild hop note smoothing this awesome brew out on all sides. Moderately slick mouth feel and moderate carbonation makes this one of the finest stouts I have had this year. This could win awards. Truly awesome.

First brew from North High Brewing we have tried, and if the rest of their selection is as good as this we will make the journey to Columbus VERY soon.

Appearance: Black with 1 to 1 2/2 finger head, retains for a while after the pour.

Smell: Chocolate, toasted, coffee.

Taste: Toasted chocolate with subtle hops.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, lack of strong carbonation typical of cask conditioned beers, light-medium bodied,

Overall: Not bad as a cask ale. Was served at a closer-to-room temperature. For St. Patty's Day they offered the option to have the pour muddled with mint which I'm not sure worked with the beer or not. It did mellow out slightly after letting it sit a little bit.
