From a 22oz bottle, undated, served in an oversized tulip.
Pours a deep mahogany with a serious three-finger-plus head of mocha fluff. Retention is OK for two or three minutes, then settles back to a thin film with some foamy islets and spotty lacing.
Pungent nose of molasses brown bread, caramel cremes and leaf mould.
The taste is sweet toasted grains, creme brûlée and plumped raisins with lesser notes of coffee grinds, mushroom, apple peel and cocoa. Finishes mostly dry with a little briefly lingering coffee bitterness.
Feel is smooth and dry, light-to-medium bodied and fairly decently carbonated.
All in all, a decent, competently brewed stout. I'd drink it again.

Sampled on 10JUL16 from a 22oz bottle picked up at the Beer & Bacon Fest held here in Nashua in May....
Poured into a small tulip, it was a deep, dark, opaque brown. Had a 1/4" mocha colored head, which was fine and creamy, with some decent lacing. Had a very welcoming aroma! Mixed in were some dark choco, roasty coffee, and semi-sweet mocha. Had a bit of light prickle on the tongue, and while the body was medium, I found it could have been fuller.
Flavor followed on what the aroma started... More choco, coffee, roasty bitterness with some espresso. We then got into the hops, with a healthy dose of floral action in the somewhat dryish finish. Pretty solid, overall. Prosit!!

22 ounce bottle poured into a snifter
A: Pours black with a mocha colored head, lots of lacing nice creamy head, dissipated into a thin mocha colored film, looks pretty solid.
A: Dark fruits, figs, dates, plums, roasted coffee and chocolate, not getting any alcohol on the nose, has a slight soy sauce smell, smells great.
T: Dark fruits, moderate amount of chocolate and coffee like bitterness, hint of smoke, finishes dry, with a dark fruit aftertaste, pretty tasty.
M: Smooth creamy mouthfeel, good amount of carbonation.
O: Solid stout, it's dark fruit forward not as roasted as I like my stouts, still is a really solid stout, see it around, pick one up, cheers.

Bought this bad Larry at Mackinnon's in Salem, NH and poured into a stout glass (yes, I have one!)
L- Stout. Dark, eats daylight dark, maybe a very deep mahogany towards the bottom on the glass. Nice two finger head that is about as tan as a Jersey shore native. Very good lacing. (4.5)
S- First thing I get is vanilla, then mocha, then some dark fruits (cherry, raspberry). Nice and complex. (4)
T- Taste follows smell but with more of a coffee bite and less fruity than the nose would imply. Sweet up front, then a dark chocolatey finish. Loving it! (4.5)
F- This is a stout that drinks like a porter. Not terrible, but I was expecting a thick, velvety, coat your tongue stout. (3.25)
O- Loving this! Nice aroma, better flavor, a bit thin for a stout, but overall this is a stout stout.

From the 22 fl. oz. bomber. No dating but I expect it was from about December 2014. Sampled on February 15, 2015.
Deep jet black color with a tremendous tan head that lingers and laces.
The aroma is very stout-like with its dark barley malts, espresso, black licorice, and even a hint of smokiness. Small earth hop bitterness puttering around out back.
Creamy and full body.
The sweeter malt and coffee flavors are up front in the taste but there is an assertive bitterness that barrels its way through at the end. This is a very decent stout and I am glad it can be found in New Hampshire.

Bottle from Bert's
Pours a deep dark brown bordering on black with a huge bubbly tan head that slowly dissipates. The aroma is dominated by caramel and chocolate with some roast and espresso powder sandwiched in there nicely. The flavor is rich sweet dark and milk chocolates with bits of caramel and roasted coffee. Light earthy hop flavor with a decent hop/roasted grain bite. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Nice easy drinking flavorful stout. A bit on the pricey side at more than 8 bucks for the bomber.
