Haven't seen this brew for years, it used to be available locally here in San Diego, in the 1980's. Hasn't really changed in all those years. Pours a yellow-gold into my DFH glass, with three fingers of white foamy head. Mild carbonation and a head that dwindles moderately fast...all that's left is a small ring and a patch.
The smell is mostly sweet and corn syrupy, with very little depth. No noticable hops or alcohol in the aroma. Very lager like in the nose.
Sweet and corn adjunct like in the flavor, slight toasty grain and a minimal bitterness in the finish. Very macro lager like in the taste as well. Not a bad flavor, just a bit sweet and boring. It was a rather hot day today (95degrees) and I didn't really find this very thirst quenching. Can't really blame this on the brew however.
Light to medium body with a definite creaminess to it and no alcohol detected anywhere make this brew easy enough to drink, but overall a beer that's average at best.
