From notes on 4/11/09.
Had to try this beer on principle.
Bottle displays World Beer Cup award.
A vigorous pour produces a 1/2 inch white fizzy head that quickly dissipates into a thin collar. Very clear light gold color. Each sip ends with little spots of fall down lacing.
Malty sweet smell with a hint of something spicy trying to come through. Some bread and underneath an almost buttery smell.
I'm starting with this pretty cold--It has a malty sweetness to begin. It's not really balanced and every few sips a little something floral peeks out before ducking for cover before I can catch it. There's also a slight sour, just sorta offish flavor. I i get deeper into the glass the taste shows some moldy bread characteristics--and not in a good way.
The mouth is slick and bubbly. Not really great but a bit more character than say...lemonade and less than a Coke.
As this warmed up it got more and more difficult to have another swig. It went down ok cold, but I wouldn't want to actually taste all of it's characteristics as the don't gel. I didn't get a "cream" sense from this at all. Maybe it would be more chuggable than other such offerings, but why bother?

a - pours very transparent gold. White head dissipates after a couple of minutes
s - oats and grass
t - sweet caramel and wheat
m - light and highly carbonated
o - not the greatest, but definitely drinkable, and a good beer for the price, it's great to share.
