Finally, hops! Hops in a JW Dundee brew. I almost had a heart-attack. This is by far the best JWD beer, although still not that great. Pours a clear red/yellow color. Clear. Slight amount of head, which, once again (JWD style) fades quickly. Smell is distinctive of hops, which is the first time I've experienced hops from JWD. It's strange, because I was really excited when this beer hit my lips, I could taste the hops, then, shortly after, the typical caramel style malt they use kicks in and curbs the lasting feeling/taste of the hops. Overall pretty decent, definately not my favorite pale ale, but at least this JWD brew represents the category which they printed on the label, unlike their Hefe and Amber Lager.
