Appearance This HB was a glowing orange in color and not quite as clear as one would expect. The head was nice but a bit modest.
Smell The traditional bockish toasty malt is here, but it is very faint. The grain has a nice lagered aroma, and the sense of alcohol is right on for the style.
Taste The lagered grain flavor comes out nicely, which is quite an accomplishment in itself from an American brewery. The alcohol is here and quite noticeable as well.
Mouthfeel This is in between light and medium-bodied with a bit of stingy booze.
Drinkability This went down well and was appreciated by some of the non-beer drinkers attending skyhands Broken Fridge party.

L: Copper amber pour with a thin bright-white head that fell away quickly.
S: Nothing too appealing, just malt and residual sugar.
T: Taste quite good. Toasty malt, sweetness, and a nice lightly hopped finish. Only complaint is that it's maybe a touch too sweet.
F: Fizzy and a bit on the heavy side. Fits the style.
O: This brew isn't pretty or particularly appealing at first glance, but it actually drinks pretty nicely. Deffinitely has a fair amount of residual sugar, which I don't particularly like, but it doesn't rule it out. All and all a decent beer, I'll drink the rest.

Pours clear and amber with a inch of bone white foam that falls well for the style. Bright not too many bubbles on the rise. Nose is bread with a bit of richness. Soft mellow earth and a little mild spice. breaddy with a few bubbles to tingle on the palate. Taste is earthy and has a little richness form malt.. No diacetyl, no dms, no fruity esters. Finishes crisp and clean with a tiny bitterness to show itself . Hops have a bit of herbal to them and the bittering hop is exceptionally clean. There is some sweetness in the finish. I get nothing from it all. All the character is hallertau. Apollo are a soft clean bitterness with a bit of strength.

12 oz bottle poured into my Sam Adams dimpled Octoberfest mug.
Look - No head to speak of. Nice color; copper in hue and clear. Like a piece of amber.
Smell - Malt. Bready and toffee.
Taste - More malted grain. Almost toast-like.
Feel - Minimal carbonation. Creamy texture.
Overall - Bought this with some marzen styles to celebrate the season. This style is good, but I need to explore it more.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 3 4/2015. Pours crystal clear deep golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of bready malt and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of bready malt and earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good Maibock style. All around good balance and robustness of bready malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a Shaker pint glass, ther is no "best by" date that I can find.
APPEARANCE: pours a clear, light, copper color with less than one-finger off-white head that dissipated quickly until a ring of small bubbles remained around the glass, there was almost no lacing present, this beer is lightly carbonated.
SMELL: bread and caramel, faint to the nose.
TASTE: the taste follows the nose, initially sweet caramel and bread then a very mild but pleasant hop profile, this is a malt forward beer to be sure.
PALATE: this beer is lightly carbonated with medium body.
OVERALL: this is a good beer and was reasonably priced at $9.99 for sampler 12 pack, it's not my favorite style of beer but I enjoy variety and would have this again.
