Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a stiff dark brown color with a finger's worth of off white foamy head that slid off fairly quick to leave some messy trying-to-stick lace. Yes, it was sliding for the most part.
The aroma had some semi-sweet dark roasted malts with a light dark chocolate nib bitterness and then some anise and some cola, black tea and a light ash/char on the back end.
The flavor was modestly sweet with an ample roastiness and a touch of spice from the anise making a fine play for a complex balance. Mild roasty to sweet aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt appropriate. Mildly smooth coffee-ish finish.
Overall, that's a pretty nice English porter that I wouldn't mind coming back to.

Enjoyed from the 12 oz bottle via a friend from work--Thanks Randy
This nice porter pours a dark amber brown with a moderate head of odd white foam that settles to a thick ring, subtle pool, and light lacing. Nose of sweet roasted malts and subtle char. Flavors exceed the nose with dark roasted malts mixed with cola notes, light coffee notes, and spritzy carbonation mixed with light hop notes. Overall a decent brew with a crisp mouth feel and high carbonation making for an easy to quaff session porter.
Good bang for the buck!
Cheers

Dundee Porter | Genesee Brewing Co. / Dundee Brewing Co. Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, this brew's head is two fingers thick and light tan, with spotty lacing, and a clear very dark reddish-brown body.
Smells like roasted malts along with other full-bodied grains. Also a nice caramel&dare I say tea note.
I taste a smooth, sweet blend of thie elements described above. As @DaneBramage mentioned, its less tasty and viscous than most other porters out there and has potential to convert the uninitiated into craftism. Well balanced with a small mid palate&post-swig alcohol warmth.
The mouthfeel I'm getting here is medium with mild carbonation. Smooth and quenching.
I'll rate Dundee Porter | Genesee Brewing Co. / Dundee Brewing Co. with an overall 4.25. Not in the same league as Eddy Fitz, but the price is do-able.

A nice dark brown, with a decent head. Nice dark malty and slightly roasted cocoa aroma. Taste follows the nose with a bit of bitter, maybe a slight coffee ( which I don't like) but still drinkable to me. good rich feel.

Minimal carbonation and non-complex flavor, a good introduction to porter for those who've never tried it. But too thin of a porter for my liking, very weak/watery flavor. As with other ratings, I bought as part of a $9.99 twelve sampler pack....probably a fair price but nothing special going on taste-wise.

It fills the glass as a light hazelnut color, about a couple shades lighter than coffee with tinges of red. Head is fluffy, beige, and stays around for awhile.
Aromas are pleasant with chocolate, toasted cereal, caramel and toffee, and a bit of stale grain.
Flavor could be better though, as it starts off with light brushes of cocoa, a bit of plant, and then it turns fairly chemical with some fusel alcohol and dirt.
Feel is bubbly and carbonated, tight and busy. Semi dry chaff finishes the feel.
Overall the Dundee Porter is a skip over. Not a fan of this one and I was looking forward to this one the most out of the variety pack.

Pours a dark amber color with a creamy off-white head. Plenty of lacing and carbonation also. Smells like lightly roasted malts, coffee, maybe even a little citrus. Initial taste is mild with hints of coffee, caramel and toffee. Aftertaste is mild black coffee. Overall a very solid brew, no overbearing favors. Would definately buy more

L- medium brown, slightly transparent
S- scent of coffee, chocolate, charcoal
T- first thing I noticed was the bitterness: more than I expected. Hint of coffee, very faint chocolate note
F- weird. Very carbonated, especially for a porter. Pretty thin too.
Nothing special. It's not bad, but really doesn't from any other porter I've had.
