A: Poured into a point glass, it's a translucent copper color. Some head forms, but fades. A little creamy yet around the edges.

S: Malty, of course. Like bread. A little molasses, maybe.

T: Subdued. More grainy notes, lightly sweet, decent balance in the finish. Faint fruity flavors coupled with slightly roasted ones. OK.

M: Suitable carbonation. Not too thick. Crisp, like I expect from a lager.

D: Pretty much a typical Oktoberfest, in my opinion. I have yet to encounter a great one.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz. bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: The body has a dark amber color and good clarity. The head is off white in color and foamy but fades out quickly leaving just a ring of foam on top.

Smell: The aroma has a heavy malty character with caramel and light roasted/toasted notes. Hop aroma is very mild.

Taste/Mouth feel: It has a big malty flavor that is sweet and bready with a nutty character. Hop flavor is modest and brings leafy/herbal notes and mild bitterness for some balance. Also a little metallic taste creeps into the mix. The finish is fairly quick and balanced but still a bit on the sweet side. Its carbonation is soft and the texture is smooth with a medium body.

Notes: Overall it's a good offering for good price.

Very clear medium amber with a small head that reduces quickly and some lacing.

Aromas of citrus and caramel.

Tastes of apricot, bread dough, caramel and citrus with some hops noticed. Pretty smooth and well balanced.

Not a bad beer, easy to drink.

Appears a clear caramel amber orange hue in the body with a large off white head forms thick with ample lacing cling evenly across my dimpled mug. Aromatics are clean with toasted malt sweet caramel noted and mild herbal hops blended with mineral water. Flavor has again a very clean and subtle moderate sweetness with a touch of toasted nuts and caramel malts weight in but no heavy it's more like Oktoberfest light but in a good way. Definitely a well crafted brew from High Falls, excellent drinkability light to medium bodied even sturdy carbonation, nothing here is too heavy just maybe at times a bit too muted if I want something really flavorful. If I'm grabbing a sixer though, this is a contender for sure especially in the fall around Thanksgiving football time of year.

Dundee's take on the style is a bit darker than some, surpassing copper to be more of a bronze. The head, a tight, tan cap, gets to one finger tall but ends up half that, which then sticks around and leaves some spotty lacing around the glass as it falls.
I get a malty sweetness with caramel and a light biscuit along with slightly herbacious hops, but it takes effort to force it out of the aroma; the flavor is a bit stronger. It is very well balanced, for what it's worth. This stands about in the middle of the pack, and could use more strength but has a generally good profile.
The feel is light and leans more toward crispness than smoothness with a bit more than moderate carbonation.

A - Crystal clear tangerine hued brew with a creamy two finger head. Big sheets of foamy lace slide down the glass, leaving big washes of foamy arcs on the glass. This is a looker for sure.

S - This tragically underpowered nose is aromatically challenged. I really almost can't smell anything! Light wafts of caramel malts and mineral notes come to me after labored snorting at the rim of the glass. I honestly can't think of a more nasally handicapped beer.

T - MUCH better than the nose...at least I can taste this beer even if I can't smell it. Sweet caramel malt, carrot cake with that brown sugar icing.

M - Medium bodied,...but almost pushing the thick side of the envelope. This is dextriny, smooth, skillfully carbonated, and mildly hoppy at the relatively neutral finish.

D - Good stuff. I just wish it had some sort of scent. I'm a big fan of sniffing...I often nose a beer for five minutes before I even drink the damn thing, and this one ruins that part of the beer-xperience for me. All around, this is a good beer despite it's one major flaw. This is one I wouldn't mind sessioning on a cold late autumn day...I'm thinking huddled around a bonfire with friends sort of sessioning here.

Was always a fan of Dundee's Honey Brown beer, and this is from their inexpensive "craft" line.

Attractive and clean pumpkin-amber in color, with solid lacing.

Sweet scent.

Tastes caramel-biscuity, with an undercurrent of spice.

Very well-done and enjoyable, and definitely a good bargain for a craft-style beer!

On-tap at Clark's Ale House for $3.50 a pint. Appeared a clear orange with a short white head. Like the other Dundee beers, this is a simple but tasty drink. There's a dry but sweet caramel taste that dominates with light candied bread undertones. Clean and drinkable, I'm sure it's a fine beer to drink a stein of.

Pours caramel with 2 fingers of cream colored head. Above average head retention & lacing

S: Caramel, slight pear notes

T: Fruity, nice caramel notes up front, dryness & faint leafy hops, along with some grainyness. Beady malt & fruittyness dominate as this warms along some leafy hops & more dryness. Finishes with a delight breadyness. pears & dryness

MF: Medium bodied, slightly sharp carbonation, smooths out fairly quickly. Good balance

Drank easy enough, I would pick a sixer of this up before I would most of the O'fests I've had this fall to include Sam Adams & Left Hand. Not a bad effort at all!

12 oz bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a clear copper with a ton of release that yields a big 2+ fingers of creamy eggshell colored head. That peters down pretty quickly, into a thin fizzy retention that leaves some decent spotty lacing behind. The aroma is deep, fruity, floral notes sticky malt sweetness. Not super assertive but it's there.

The taste is mostly overly sweet with caramel malts that possess a bit of a toasty feel. There's some floral tasting hop bitterness in there for a bit of balance. The mouthfeel is on the lighter side with a creamy feel and fairly easygoing nature.

Simple take on the style here that could have maybe have done with a little less sweetness and packed a touch more body. Decent stuff though that went down easily.

Dundee Oktoberfest -brewed by Genesee Brewing Co. / Dundee Brewing Co. This brew has an ABV of 5.50% When Dundee Oktoberfest pours out, it is a nice light brown color ,with a nice white head. The smell is rich sweetness and spices. You also pick up on some grains and malts in the smell. There is a lot going on in the taste of this brew. You pick up on the spices and malts. Dundee Oktoberfest has a smooth taste, there is nothing overpowering in this brew. I though there would be more to this brew but it is ok. I was hoping for more flavor in this brew. More spices and flavors. For what it worth this is mild Oktoberfest, but it is good tasting. The mouthfeel is nice and clean, with no bad aftertaste. The mouthfeel is is and clean and refreshing. This is a good drinking brew. Overall I'm giving this brew a 4 out 5. I would get this brew again.
