Tapped into my personal Trois Pistoles snifter at The Lemon Grove in Youngstown, OH.
Appearance - Dark brown body. Small white lace with great stick.
Smell - Coffee. Light matls.
Taste - Clean body with astringent finish. Honey in the finish masks and compliments the astringency well. slightly metallic but not an off flavor for some reason. Well balanced.
Mouthfeel - Medium to full bodied. Lots of effervescence.
Overall Drinkability - Best I've had in the style.

12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. Consumed in October during my own mini-Oktoberfest.
A- Some carbonation visible through the cloudy, dark copper body with a small tan tinted head that lasts.
S- Really great unique smell that has many layers of rich caramel, honey and candy sweet malts.
T- Deep, rich, rounded flavor starting with bready, caramel malts, and ending with a balanced subtle hop finish.
M- Full bodied. Creamy, smooth with low carbonation. Semi-sweet finish.
O- My own mini-Oktoberfest consisted of a blind side-by-side-by-side tasting of Oktoberfests by Sam Adams, Saranac, and Dundee. Surprisingly, Dundee fared the best of the three. I'm not very well versed in Oktoberfests, but Dundee was more complex and simply stood out as something special.

poured chilled from a 12oz into a goblet purchased the bottle at Wegman's
The color is deep amber bordering on copper with 3 fingers of ecru cream with large bead. The smell is mildly malty with a slight herbal hop aroma. The feel is good with moderate carbonation and mild sweetness level with a low bitterness level and light body in general.
The flavor has some subtle caramel elements of malt with a nice clean yeast flavor with slight woody hop accent, however the flavor seems muted and not as malt forward as it could be. The taste has a gentle toasted grain flavor which is pretty standard for the style. overall the fest is pretty standard, by the numbers...good but not exceptional. I would drink this again, but it isn't worth seeking out.
