poured from the bottle into a weizen glass
A - Pours a slightly hazy gold with almost no carbonation. Nice two-finger, creamy white head that stays intact until the last few sips. Leaves behind a nice web of lacing.
S - A bit of tangy lemon on a wheat malt background.
T - Wheat malt upfront. The body is a decent blend of wheat malt, zesty hop notes and a hint of lemon, both of the later intensify as the beer passes over the back of the tongue. Lingering wheat and lemon zest finish.
M - On the heavier side of the light bodied spectrum with moderate carbonation. I would like to see a bit more carbonation, but not bad by any means.
Another solid offering from Dundee. While not my favorite pale wheat, it puts a similar "macro micro brew" from a certain Massachusetts brewery to shame for even less money. Relatively simple and straight forward, this an easy drinking beer that would benefit from a bit more carbonation and (slightly) more complexity. Hopefully they will continue to brew this "Limited Release" and include in a summer variety pack with some of my other favorites from the brewery.

a very very very light beer, super easy drinking. pours hazy and incredibly pale yellow in color, a nice two inches of thick white head stays on top. the nose is a little lemony, a little yeasty, but in generall pretty bland. this keg may have been sitting awhile, but the nose is very muted on this beer. the flavor is muted too, but from what i can gather everything is in pretty good balance. a delicate wheat malt profile gives way gently to a mellow lemon peel essence, which isnt acidic or tart at all, just refreshing. slight pepper in the yeast, but again, very subtle. feel is just too light by any standards, even for my mom, but its smooth and creamy in a way most light beers are not, and the carbonation is very refreshing. in the right summer context this could be a winner, for now its just too light even for a self proclaimed summer wheat beer. nothing offensive about it through, and the price was right at just a few bucks per pint.
