Poured from a 12 oz to a pint glass.
This summer wheat beer pours a clear but cloudy yellowish gold, with a pretty 2 finger head that turns to a thin white consistent lace. Right off the top of the glass nice lemon resins met a nice wheat back bone, smells very fresh and earthy. Delicious, nice wheat and citrus zest, with a touch of honey on the finish. Light on the mouthfeel, crisp, fresh, extremely drinkable. This beer is awesome and has more than just the ususal over-lemony taste of the more well known summer beers. Packed with flavor and the price is right. Are you sure this was made at the Dundee/Genesee plant??

Appearance - Pours a slightly cloudy golden color with a centimeter thick, frothy head. Dissipates quickly and has nice lacing.
Smell - Lemon zest, citrus, wheat, and caramel.
Taste - Pretty bitter with caramel, lemon zest, citrus, wheat, and a sweet grainy taste.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with high carbonation.
Overall - This is a very crisp beer and would be perfect on a summer day. Bought this in Tawas City the day I proposed to my fiance.

Pour - straw-colored with some hints of orange. Not all that cloudy actually. This is just a bit opaque with a nice inch of pure white foam on top.
Aroma - hints of orange, lemon and tangerine along with some tangy, sweet and sour smells that might be the malt or the yeast. Not entirely sure. Mostly I'm getting citrus, which is quite nice in a summer brew.
Taste - first sip actually brings about the flavor of pears and lemons. Not all that sweet, more tangy and light on the tongue. Some mellow malt sweetness comes out but even that is pretty subtle. Nothing overpowering whatsoever in this beer, it's low ABV and lighter malt bill make this very palate friendly. The finish is very crisp and with that comes the sense of refreshment.
Overall - I really enjoyed the subtleness of this summer beer. The pear and citrus flavors were quite nice and the finish of this beer really makes it enjoyable on a warm summer day. This is a style that does well in a can as its great for just relaxing while the sun is out and it's not going to put you to sleep.
Would I buy more of it? - if I was in the market for a 12-pack to bring to a barbecue or day of playing yard games I think this would do quite nicely. I'm also guessing the price point on this is very reasonable.

Part of the Summer Brews pack from Cost Plus World Market.
Pours a murky light yellow with a 1 inch white head that fades to a thin cap. Foamy rings of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of wheat and some floral notes. Taste is of wheat, grains, and a very slight floral/citrus taste on the finish. There is a slightly fruity aftertaste with this one. This beer has a higher level of carbonation with a crisp and clean mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good wheat beer from Dundee with a refreshing quality to it. A good choice for the Summer Brews box.

12 oz twist-top bottle poured into a weizen glass.
0811 on the neck, "Limited Release", no info.
A - Poured with the swirled-in-bottle sediment, the beer is a cloudy golden straw color that's topped by a fluffy white head. Good retention but no lace left behind.
S - A hint of skunkiness underlines the pale malt and wheat aroma. Average potency but refreshing-smelling regardless.
T - Soft, tasty wheat with grainy pale malt and very lightly hopped citrus, hint of spice finish.
M - Smooth, soft, and medium-light-bodied, the crisp, refreshing finish is certainly welcome on this hot morning.
O - While the nose is pretty lacking, the taste makes up for it. A nice, easy-drinking summer brew with good wheat and citrus notes throughout.

poured from the bottle into a weizen glass
A - Pours a slightly hazy gold with almost no carbonation. Nice two-finger, creamy white head that stays intact until the last few sips. Leaves behind a nice web of lacing.
S - A bit of tangy lemon on a wheat malt background.
T - Wheat malt upfront. The body is a decent blend of wheat malt, zesty hop notes and a hint of lemon, both of the later intensify as the beer passes over the back of the tongue. Lingering wheat and lemon zest finish.
M - On the heavier side of the light bodied spectrum with moderate carbonation. I would like to see a bit more carbonation, but not bad by any means.
Another solid offering from Dundee. While not my favorite pale wheat, it puts a similar "macro micro brew" from a certain Massachusetts brewery to shame for even less money. Relatively simple and straight forward, this an easy drinking beer that would benefit from a bit more carbonation and (slightly) more complexity. Hopefully they will continue to brew this "Limited Release" and include in a summer variety pack with some of my other favorites from the brewery.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.
Look – light golden color, maybe a little murky, with about two fingers worth of frothy white foam that dissipates somewhat slowly.
Smell – a little soapy in smell and bitter, but otherwise with a slightly lemon-like smell with hints of hops.
aste – a pretty subtle taste for a wheat beer. The rye taste is there, but it’s mellowed out a bit, but by what I can’t tell. The citrus is there, but it’s not overbearing. Slightly bitter in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel – pretty well balanced!
Overall – not a spectacular brew in terms of it’s interestingness, but not at all bad tasting either.

Pours a dense, cloudy golden-yellow, with a decent head of white bubbles. Lace is spotty.
Nose says lemon-citrus and wheat. Not bad.
Taste is mild and light, with a malty sweetness (but not too much). I get a substantial citrus-lemon character. Hops are definitely subdued. Taste is also a wee flat and lacking in complexity, but this remains a decent beer to chill to in Summer. Certainly leagues better than a major corporate lager.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. About ¾ inches to an inch of head. Color was a hazy golden. Some lacing on the top and an uneven film on the side of the glass. Each stayed throughout.
Wheat led the smell, but also some grains, and slight hints of lemon and hops.
Three different tastes combined, including wheat, grains and lemon. That being said, all were light and fairly bland.
Pretty high on the carbonation. Somewhat refreshing, crisp and clean.
Not too bad of a beer, especially compared to some of the others in the 10-pack I got from BevMo. Some of these ratings could have changed either way. Nothing special, nothing too bad.

Into a tapered weizen-shaped mug this beer pours a hazy yellow orange. Soapy head on top, three fingers of foam that slide down to a quarter inch with soap suds lacing inside the glass. The foam has a pitted surface and matte sheen on top. With the yeast poured, it becomes slightly hazed and pastel hued.
Mellow wheaty aroma, light perfumy florals. As it warms up there's a hint of lemon, apple, and biscuit notes. Pleasant if not a little nondescript.
Lemony taste, some grainy wheat in the aftertaste. Crisp apple and biscuit again. Feels a little astringent with club soda carbonation. Overall it's pretty quenching on a hot day, and the fairly low abv lends itself to sessioning.
Thanks for the beer Andrew!
