Genesee 12 Horse Ale brewed by Genesee Brewing Co. / Dundee Brewing Co. This brew has an ABV of 5.10% A 12 Horse Ale pours out a nice amber color with a nice white head. The smell is sweet with grains and malts. There is nothing overpowering in this brew so far. The taste is sweet with grains , and a few malts. At first this brew is bold but it has a clean finish at the end. For being a blonde ale it is a nice brew. Genesee 12 Horse Ale has a nice balance to it there is nothing overpowering in this brew. The mouthfeel is bold but it has a nice clean finish. This is a real refreshing brew. Genesee 12 Horse Ale can fall into many categories this is one of the better Genesee brews I have had. Genesee 12 Horse Ale - Genesee Brewing Co. / Dundee Brewing Co. Poured from the squatter bottle into a pint glass, this brew's got a 1/4 finger thick white head that dissipates quickly, no lacing, and a clear medium golden body.

I smell sweeter malts with a touch of earthiness. No hop bitterness is present in the aroma.

The taste here is sweeter malts, yes. No hop presence is showing up. This is a very well balanced brew despite that.

Mouthfeel is clean and smooth. Nothing about this beer lingers.

Overall a 4 for Genesee 12 Horse Ale - Genesee Brewing Co. / Dundee Brewing Co. I vwould choose this over regular Genny any given day. I had my good friend nicholas2121 flow me a few bottles upon returning his visit in Rochester this past week. So thank you for the fine brew, mate.

I opened one and I am getting a headache while drinking it. It tastes like the smell you get when you solder copper pipes. Don't buy this stuff.

look: 3.25 | smell: 3 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.25

A: A a pale golden beer with a creamy, off white head that leaves some lacing on the glass.

S: A little bit of an earthy hops aroma with a slight citrusy ester that seems to come from the yeast. There is a moderate malt sweetness

T: A malty softness and a light a earthy hops flavor and medium-light hops bitterness. There is a light bit if ale yeast character but not much. The balance is even and the finish is polity abrupt.

M: A Creamy, medium-lighted beer with a medium level of carbonation.

O: An easy to drink blonde style that is moderately malty beer with a good creaminess. If you buddy only drinks lawn more lagers and needs a gateway ale this isn't a bad choice as it's sort of a lightly flavored ale.
