Great location right on Lake Superior.
Large bar to belly up and even more table seating. Outdoor tables and fireplace for when weather permits.
Staff friendly and efficient and food was quite good. We'll above par for a brewpub.
Only 8 beers on tap - I typically want more variety and options. But they had a 2 year old English barleywine that was solid. That tells me the brewers are serious.
Definitely worth a stop for at least one beer and a bite if you're in Duluth.

Overlooking Lake Superior makes this venue special in itself. Inside, the brewpub/restaurant is pretty standard. The bar is separate from the dining area for the most part. A selection of 8 or so of their beers are available and you can get full pints or flights of any size. I had to try a flight because the selection was pretty solid. I tried the imperial stout, dubbel, triple, brown ale, and red lager. Overall, decent brews; I was impressed with the imperial stout as that is my favorite and I tend to be picky. The bartenders were friendly, knowledgeable, and patient enough to put up with a bachelor party so props to them. I would definitely revisit if I was in the area.

Gorgeous outdoor seating during the summer and early fall, and a nice enough indoors when it inevitably gets too cold. It's bit of a tourist trap for sure, but don't let that discourage you, it's a pretty darn good tourist trap. Their beers are usually good but rarely great, but they've got a great variety so you're sure to find something you like. Service is outstanding, the waiters will happily describe the options to you and make recommendations. If you order the right stuff, you'll get some great food. Highly recommend the beer cheese soup and the fish and chips.

Convivial atmosphere, exceptional view of Lake Superior, decent menu, decent beer. I have only been there during the day and then the crowd has a lot of tourists.

Nifty modern spot on the shore of Lake Superior. Sat alongside a big firepit outside so our dog could join us - they brought him water and treats!

Service was awesome, staff knew the beers by heart and made solid recommendations. Seven taps, but seven distinct styles, plus a cask or two. Beer was actually pretty good, definitely more than we were expecting, and the food was well above standard pub food (but you pay for it).

If you bring your dog, it can't be beat for the area.

To be fair, I've only visited this place in winter; their lakefront location could be exponentially more appealing in warm weather (which, yes, Duluth does get on occasion). But the house beers inside are impressive year-round.

Stopped here after biking along Lake Superior. Sat on the patio which had lots of room, firepit, view of the lake and the city. Great location. Inside was clean and modern looking. Lots of cement, wood and stainless steel. The beers were all solid, but nothing was great of the four we tried. They had about ten beers to choose from with one being a cask. Great variety from brown ale, to wit, to IPA, porter and tripel, etc. service was good and prices were on par for the product. They are also a Brauler distributor so I grabbed one of those that came with a free fill. Overall, a worthy stop in Duluth. Probably only second beer wise, to Fitgers in Duluth.

My favorite local place to get a beer. Friendly staff that actually knows about beer. Great selection of beer with new seasonals being added. I have had almost everything they have brewed and have not been disappointed.
The outdoor patio area is perfect for a date. The food is a little bit pricy though.

And when you come back to fill a growler you can get a pint for $2 which is always nice.

Canal Park has a modern boxlike look and is located on the lake and park.

It has both a great side and front patio. Both (but especially the front) have just awesome views of Lake Superior. I like the Adirondack chairs in the front patio.

There is a hostess stand as you enter. There are several different dining areas. I headed straight to the bar. It is light blonde wood with a blue tile base. My Danish ancestors would approve. Actually, the whole decor is modern with a Scandinavian vibe. There are tanks in the front of the building and behind glass at the bar.

Service was friendly and efficient.

The menu looked good, but I didn't eat on this visit.

8 house beers on tap. ESB, German wheat. Tripel, Brown, Maple Maibock (!!), Porter, Saison and IPA that hits a lot of styles. They also offer growlers to go.

Well worth a stop and only a 15 minute stroll form Fitgers and Carmodys.

Very bright and open venue to have lunch and a beer sampler tray on a (rainy, cool) July afternoon in Duluth.

High ceilings, airy feel, great views. Would have had interesting outdoor options if it hadn't been raining.

Our server recognized us from Fitger's the night before and gave us special attention, even as the place got busier.

Good range of innovative pub fare with some interesting twists. Food was generally good, although the quality ranged from OK to excellent.

was up in Duluth for the wknd and visited CPB twice its right over the lake st bridge right past Canal park lodge right on Lk Superior when you walk in you are greeted immediately seating is to the left and there is a bar tucked around on the right service is attentive and the place has a fresh good vibe to it they had 8 CPB brews on tap but had no guest taps they do offer flights with 4 samples per flight food was pricey but delicious we had steamed mussels fish tacos and fish and chips all were superb, the brew was very good stoned surf IPA and 40 acre saison were superb this is really a must stop if in Duluth the only negative thing i could say was they should have about 4 guest taps but no biggie because ther brews are delicious

Amazing beer, great atmosphere and an exciting menu of food. My favorite beer is the Tripel. Be sure to stop by the place in the summer when I hear they are opening up the outside with a gas firepit overlooking Lake Superior. This is my new favorite place to hang out and have some delicious fresh beer with friends. Many growlers have been purchased there also.

Glad to see that this place opened. The brewery has a decent selection of beers and I was able to try 3 during my dinner stop. The Nut Hachet Brown, Pack Sacker Stout, and Greedy Bastard Black IPA were all quality beers. I will be sure to try the rest on my next trip to Duluth - will be sure to order a flight next time.

The atmosphere is pretty nice, you can see they put a lot of work into this place to make it pretty classy , without going overboard. You can sit down at the bar or a side table and enjoy a nice view of the lake. The hanging lights above the bar and tables are growlers, pretty nice touch.

The food was pretty darn good, I recommend the Jaeger burger or the Northcoaster. the mac and cheese looked pretty good too. Not a huge menu, but quality food.

I would definatelty make this a stop if you are in the Duluth area. The location in Canal park has a few good motels and some other nice eateries within walking distance. Be sure to bring in your parking receipt, they will take the 2 bucks off your bill if you bring it in.
