Growler filled at brewery on 11/16. Consumed on 11/17. Poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass.

A - Amber in color with a full finger of off white head. Head lingers. Leaves splotchy lacing on sides of glass. No cloudiness or sediment.

S - Mildly fragrant. Peach, melon, and hint of malts.

T - Peach/apricot, bready malts, and a nutty flavor. Fruit flavors underwhelming and overshadowed by heavy malt backbone. Finish is harsh with an unplesant bitter onion flavor. Also, ABV is not masked.

M - High carbonation. Unremarkable.

O - Very unsatisfying. Taste is uncharacteristic of an IPA and finish is unpleasant. ABV stands out too much for a single IPA. Not recommended.

Thought I would try a local beer(brewery is about 30-40 minutes away). Can is very attractive with lots of formulas and history on it. Head is ok, not much. Smell is awesome with a huge hit of grapefruit at the start. Taste is similar with a massive grapefruit-pine hit right away on the palate. Grapefruit-citrus goes away fast and the hop bitterness lingers. Fine with me. Overall, a nice IPA that attacks quick and then mellows rather fast. Overall, nice beer !!

A good, easy drinking, albeit dry tasting brew. Very satisfying. Probably could use more citrus and spice flavors. The mouthfeel is very solid- not too light or thin at all. Lots of carbonation bubbles and nice hazy color. The hops, while prevalent, are not too overpowering. Not a bad brew.

Fairly decent IPA, somehow I was expecting more. Poured into a pint glass. The head was fairly small with average retention. Some lacing on the glass. Smell was citrus hops, not that strong but pleasant enough.

Taste was somewhat more impressive. Citrus hops, bready malt backbone but hops are more prominent and fairly decent level of bitterness.

Mouthfeel is about average for richness, crisp with some bitterness.

Pleasant enough but not something I would be dying to try again.

A: Golden-amber and cloudy, with almost a finger of off-white head that fades quickly, but leaves fair lacing.

S: Hops aromas dominate, primarily citrus (especially grapefruit juice). There are spicy notes of crushed pepper and perhaps rosemary. Not much in the way of grain aromas.

T: Bready malt starts off the flavor parade, but tart, juicy flavors quickly push it aside -- white grape and grapefruit juice -- then bitter grapefruit rind takes over and lingers long into the finish.

M: Crisp, with a dry finish. No discernible booziness.

O: A little over-bitter in the finish for my taste (I prefer my IPA's to lean toward the tarter side, East Coast style), but a good attempt by a young brewery.
