Really dark brown color. Aroma has roasted malt, a bit of smoke and peated whiskey. Taste is really roasty, bitter, coffee beans and dark malts. Not bad at all but it's quite one noted.

Poured black as night with a thick dark khaki head that hung around awhile. Like a horse thief at the end of a rope.
Roasted chocolate aroma with a hint of honey.
Taste follows with a slightly charred dark chocolate finish. As it warms, that locally harvested avocado honey does the trick to smooth it out quite nicely.
Low carbonation and a bit more than medium mouthfeel. I haven't had this one in over a year. A welcome return to my palate!

A dark black beer with a roasted smell on the nose. The taste is a smooth and delicious porter (one of my least favorite styles) the avocado adds a smoothness and a richness to the taste. It has a touch of the honey and avocado flavor. Overall a nice imperial porter that I enjoyed

Very smooth for a porter. One of the best ones I've tried. I'm starting to really like the beers from this brewery. I havnt had one yet I didn't like. Anyone who enjoys dark beer will probably really like this one.

On tap at Tony's Darts Away in Burbank, CA.
Pours an almost opaque super dark crimson-brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. A foamy lattice of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, and char aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa, char, and smoke flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with straightforward but solid roast and cocoa characteristics all around.
Serving type: on tap.
