Had this on tap a few times, if their dry stout isn't available this is my go to beer. Everyone I've brought here who's sampled a flight will drink at least 2 of these browns, it's good stuff.

Appearance- A darker brown than you might expect. A moderate head, a little bit of suds stick to the side of the glass.
Taste- Strikes me as dry, which I like. Not too sweet. Very nice nuttiness, toasty caramel malt.
Mouthfeel- the bit of dryness makes this brown very drinkable. It doesn't feel like you're drinking diabetes. It goes great with a meal. Uniform carbonation throughout, this ain't swill.

This brown convinced me that session ales have a place in my beer preferences. The sun doesn't rise and set on crazy high gravity barrel aged hop bombs.

A: Slightly cloudy reddish-brown. Decent off-white head
S: Similar to a scotch ale. Smoky, malty, sweet. Very slight chocolate and coffee.
T: Delicate malty open with slight caramel and possibly peat smoke. Nice rich chocolatey vibe overall.
M: Delicate but full feeling.
O: Easy drinking, I'd order another.

The waitress at HopCat (Stephanie) recommended this beer if I were to go to GRBC... well, as it turned out, it was my favorite of the paddle I got.

A simple copper brown sort of color with basically no head or lacing. Not a very attractive looking beer, but the rest of it is. The smell is slightly nutty with a bit of roastiness... now you're talking. The taste is like the smell, but it just seems elevated on the taste buds. Roasted nuts is kind of the flavor I get. Maybe a coffee essence because of the roast. Some caramel. A nice sweetness even. A surprising depth of flavor for a style of beer I tend to deem as boring. Medium-ish feel and carbonation make this easy to drink a decent bit of.

After a slew of less than impressive brews, I was glad to have tasted this one. An proverbial diamond in the rough at GRBC.

On tap @ the brewpub. Served in pint glass.

A - Poured dark brown with a thin layer of cream coloured head.

S - Roast, nuttiness, caramel.

T - A big nuttiness with caramel, roast and hints of chocolate. Fairly sweet overall with a light bitterness.

M - Light to medium body with moderate carbonation.

O - Fairly average for a nut brown but still easy drinking and enjoyable.
