Recommended to anyone in the seacoast NH area and only 15 minutes from Maine/Massachusetts. Well worth the drive and not far off the highway. Kind and knowledgeable service and quality selection (194 characters)

Made my way north for a visit to Top Shelf last night. This would be my second time stopping in and being pretty impressed with not only the selection (for NH) but the service. Its refreshing to have open, honest and helpful employees when visiting bottle shops.

As previous reviews have pointed out, NH's distribution is slowly getting better. This is great news considering they sell singles of everything in the store.

Prices are reasonable with bombers going for the norm and singles ranging from $1.50-3.50.

Overall I would recommend anyone heading to the Seacoast this summer to stop for some great brews. Check their Facebook page as they update once a truck pulls in. (679 characters)

I finally got to visit Top Shelf about a week ago. It's a small shop right on route 1 and relatively easy to find. It's also a 5-iron away from Blue Lobster Brewing Co., which is highly convenient.

NH beer selection is getting better though it's still not as good as MA and ME; however, the service here sets Top Shelf apart from other stores. The owners are friendly, knowledgeable, easy to approach, and they love to chat beer. They update Facebook regularly as new beers arrive, and it seems like they are working very hard to get allocations of limited releases. I also like that they sell singles (which is rare in NH), so you can try a new beer without committing to a six-pack and then regretting it. Prices are a little on the high side because they don't sell macro beer, but again, selling singles helps the consumer. They do sell locally made snacks, but I did not purchase any. (890 characters)

Nice store on the main drag.

The store is clean and well organized with different beer sections broken out nicely. Lots of shelf space but very little cooler space to speak of. A couple staples other than beer can be found but it would be nice if there were some more diverse chip / snack / salsa / dip selections at the store to make it more "one stop shopping".

Prices are on the high end at the store but again the selection is good.

Some specialty items like beef jerky and pickled hop shoots are available at a premium.

The guy behind the counter was helpful and friendly and had decent beer knowledge but the owner seemed to have a bit of a chip on her shoulder concerning her store when other local beer stores were mentioned. Any comments seemed to be met with conflict rather than "we are new and growing". Hopefully as time goes by she will have a better customer relationship with her patrons.

Still though, I will return ans this is overall. a good store and I am happy to see it in the seacoast. (1,014 characters)

Wow, what a find. I walked in not expecting to stay very long, but was I wrong! The "WOB" (wall of beer-- aptly named) was amazing. I was overwhelmed, but the woman at the counter (the owner I think, Sue) was amazingly helpful in narrowing down what I was looking for. I learned a lot about beer just in chatting with her. The recommendations that she made were excellent. I even used one in cooking! (It was called Jalapeno something-- by Throwback).

I also lucked out and happened to walk in during a tasting, too- with White Birch Brewing. Yum. I found some that I liked that I would have never tried. And the "mix and match" idea is awesome-- (you can choose 6 individuals to buy-- that way you're not stuck with a 6 pack that you didnt' like too much).

I will be back even though I live a little far from it (about 20 minutes or so), it's really worth it. (863 characters)
