Terrible establishment. Not only am I always treated poorly when I'm inside the store, and not only is their selection a bit sub-par for a "craft beer store", but I know this place best for their overpricing and false advertising.

Today while in the store, they have a certain beer marked at $7.99 per bottle, with several on the shelf, and a sticker clearly marking them $7.99 each. When bringing one to the checkout the employee (JOSH) rings it up for $9.99. When I explain to him they have a different price advertised and marked in front of the bottle, he says "I dont give a $*#% there's nothing I'm going to do about it." I proceeded to make sure he knew this is an illegal practice in the state of Ohio (obviously anyone is smart enough to understand this fact and then find the decency to sell the bottle for their advertised price), to which he fired back a red-faced, loud, ignorant, argumentative response, and proceeded to bury his face into his laptop.

I don't care to bring business to a store that fails to understand the very BASICS of customer service and ethics.

And let's be honest, if you name 8 craft beer stores in Columbus, and then rank them in the size and quality of their selection, this one comes in 8th place. It's more of a swanky cigar joint than a beer store. Most grocery stores in the area have a wider and more advanced selection of beer than this place.

There are many BETTER, FRIENDLIER, and more LEGIT places in the Columbus area to shop for craft beer. I will be avoiding this store at all costs, and I would suggest you do also. There are lots of other business worthy of your time and money, this just is not one of them.

Found out about this place shortly after I found out about the Bell's Planet series. Too bad I learned about Mars ~2 weeks after it was released. Their selection of Belgian's (especially Trappists) is impressive. Pretty sure they have 7 out of the 8 U.S. available Trappists in stock right now (the 8th being Spencer, which isn't distributed in Ohio). Kevin (the owner) knows his stuff.

I was very impressed with this place. This may not have the end all be all of different beers but it was put together with a discerning eye which is much better. The beers they have are some of the more rare harder to find and desirable in the craft industry. Very pleased with the selection I wish their mix a six section was bigger but when you set a flat price on a mix of six you might be limited. Love the in your face What's New table. Let's you know what they just got in which is nice.

Aficionado's is my favorite craft beer store in the Columbus area. They also sell cigars and wine. You will not find staff that is more friendly and helpful. The craft beer selection is great and the owner Kevin can get you on a notification list for rare stuff from 3 Floyds, Founders, Deschutes, Bell's, etc. They have several tastings every month.

The best thing is ... the store is very close to the Polaris mall. Drop you wife off there and spend and hour or two in Kevin's store.

For a long time, this has been my favorite beer shop in Columbus, Ohio. I frequented the predeceessor store, From the Vine, when it was under different ownership.

So, what's happened to the store and how is it today? It's easily still my favorite beer store in the area. The new owners have broadened the selection of beer and introduced cigars to its inventory. Wine is still very much a part of the store, as well. I'm not much of a wine or cigar guy though.

As far as beer goes, the selection is deep and impressive. If it's available for distribution in Ohio and it's craft, it's probably going to be here. They have a ton of great beer, and I never leave empty handed. If you're looking for Founders, Three Floyds, Bell's, Goose Island, Belgian specialties, or more local stuff like Columbus Brewing - it's all here. I even found the rare, local Seventh Son bottles here. Great stuff!

The new owners, Kevin and Starr, are top notch people! Michael is a great addition to the staff. They know their product and are very helpful, nice people.

Prices are state minimum and are in-line (if not a little better than) other shops around town. They don't gouge their customers.

I'm thrilled with Aficionado's! It's a great shop to have in town! Over the last year, they've made some positive changes to the store and have it thriving. If you're in town, it's definitely a place to check out.

This is a gem just minutes away from 71 and Polaris Pkwy. I'm a bit of a beer snob and was blown away at the selection and service they had. I love the fact that is locally owned and operated. The owner got me hooked on my new favorite beer, Simtra. Great selection, service & vibe. TRIFECTA!!!

Bigger does not mean better! Aficionado's is not the biggest store in Columbus, but it is one of the absolute best! Quality beer selection, wines and a nice cigar selection too! Kevin, Starr and Michael are all friendly, engaging, and willing to offer suggestions. If you have any special requests, they will reach out to their network and try to get you what you need. They are conveniently located on the north side of Columbus near Polaris. I love to stop in and see what is new and I always walk out with something I have not had before.

This location used to be a nice wine shop with a a hand full of craft beers. Kevin has taken this spot and turned it into one of the best craft beer shops in Columbus. The wine and cigar selection is awesome but I'm headed there for beer most of the time. The selection there always surprises me, usually they have 3 or 4 goodies that you wouldn't expect. The staff is very helpful and easy to talk to, the prices are no higher than any craft store, and you can always count on them having the best beer available. If you're in the Polaris area, make sure you check out this gem, you'll walk out with a bottle or two more than you went there for.

The old saying "bigger is better" is not always true... Aficionados is not your "big beer store" but they are a quality beer store. They have added some beer racks over the past year to their store to keep up with the growing craft market but kept the same theme. This spot is all about friendly service and catering to the customers needs as they have order beers in on request. They have a great selection of quality beers and do not play any games as to how they sell the beers (ex:raffles, spend so much to get rights to buy xxx bottle, over-pricing). I almost didn't want to write a review and give out info on one of my favorite stores but people need to experience the great service and laid back atmosphere of shopping for beer without fighting crowds or getting lost in rows of "mainstream/commercial" beers stacked to the ceiling. You will not be disappointed making the short trip to northern Columbus for this store!

This is a local shop in the Polaris area that's about equally split between beer and wine, and also sells cigars. Fairly modern vibe. One and a half aisles of beer, densely stocked, with coolers running down one side of the main beer aisle.

For me, Aficionados is all about the service. I really enjoy going in regularly just to chat with Kevin, Star & Michael. They always take time to suggest new things, or just hang out and shoot the breeze. New arrivals are conveniently displayed on a table, and posted online via Facebook and Twitter. They get a great selection, focused entirely on high-quality beers.

I used to drive around town searching out the latest releases, but now I just follow Aficionados online, and check in regularly to see what's new. Pretty much any special release that hits the other big stores in Columbus will also show up at Aficionados.

Great local brew shop with an excellent selection and fantastic service. Everyone on staff is knowledgeable and offer excellent recommendations. If you want something they don't carry, they will go above and beyond to get it for you. Aficionado's is a true asset to the Polaris area.

Good local shop that's focused on craft beer and doing what they can to improve selection. Twice now I've seen them add racks, and fill them up with new brews. A really good place to pick up a six pack of something local, and dig around a bit for a hidden gem of a bomber.

This is the old From the Vine in Lewis Center. They are revamping the place and turning it more into a craft beer place and getting away from the wine side. They have a lot of randoms that I dont see many other places such as "Christmas Eve in a New York Hotel Room", 888 and 999 Stone Verticals, etc. They seem to be getting new stuff in everyday during the transition. It will be interesting to see what happens over the next few months and their identity is more known. Not a ton of 6 packs but they had a healthy supply of Great Lakes Christmas Ale this past week when everyone else was sold out.
