Served in a shaker pint glass at the tap room.

Funny, they told me this stuff didn't turn out as they'd initially intended. I wish my homebrew mistakes came out this well... Anyway, this stuff pours a clear sunset amber-garnet topped by a finger of khaki foam. The nose comprises maple syrup, rye crust, light candied orange peel, and a bit of clove-like spice. The taste brings in more of the same, with a slightly drier syrup character and a touch more hop character. The body is a light-leaning medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a sorta drying finish. Overall, I really enjoyed this beer; the syrup-like vein both cooperated with the rye and set this beer apart from other rye lagers out there.
