On draft at Wickenden. 1l into glass mug.
2 fingers of head. Nice lacing, pretty dense snow-like head. Beer has a dull yellowy orange hue.
Nose is of peppermint and pine needles. Subdued. But that could be due to serving temp (ice cold). EDIT - as it warms the nose becomes stronger.
Bitter pith, grapefruit and orange rind. Very bitter, lingering. Yes, please. Cascade? Chinook? I can't place it. Reminds me of a SNPA on steroids. Not much malt in the grand scheme of things, this is dry compared to Trinity IPA- and tastier than Storm's Fox Point.
Crisp, clean finish. Smooth and tasty. I want more.
I wasn't sure about this at first, but over the last few days this has become my go-to beer here at the Wickenden Pub. I like it- a great first effort from Foolproof. This beer had put them on my radar for sure. Bring on the cans!
EDIT: 2nd batch tasted better than the first. Will revise my score if it holds for next time.

A: hazy, gold; 3 finger head that faded slowly; nice lacing;
S: interesting nose; the first thing I picked up was oak - don't know where that's coming from; some pine and citrus as well;
T: piney, earthy; a little different; bitterness hits pretty quickly and it finishes with the same piney, earthy, bitterness; well balanced;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; crisp;
O: the earthiness of this beer is a little different and interesting, although I would prefer more citrus and floral notes;

On cask at Track 84 Warwick, listed as Prince of the Yahd
Comes to the table in a proper imperial pint glass. Visually, a slightly hazy light golden color with a huge fluffy creamy head that survives till the glass is empty. Extremely impressive retention! Aromas of bready malt and floral and citrusy hops. Flavor is bready with hints of caramel and just enough citrus and earth to balance with a nudge to the hop side. Medium body with a light level of carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. First beer of the night, so easy drinking, it slid completely down my throat before I knew it. Might be more of a pale than IPA, but its a solid brew.
