Raincloud is the perfect “stay at home” brew. Dark, smooth, mysterious—this rich and flavorful porter is brewed with chocolate and crystal malts and a subtle blend of European hops. Raincloud is the ideal accompaniment for a lazy day of movie watching or reading.

A very nice porter. Roasted notes and dark chocolate.

Very nice, slightly light but still complex and flavorful porter from a brewery that’s new to me. Pours a rich deep brown color with some great-looking tan fluffy head and nice rings of lingering lacing. Smells of roasted nuttiness, medium roast coffee, milk chocolate, malt, caramel and vanilla. Taste follows the nose, with some hints of brown sugar and raisin. Smooth, slightly creamy, rich mouthfeel and good carbonation. Very flavorful and good depth of flavors but not too heavy. I usually prefer stouts but this porter is nothing to sniff at! Will check out more from Foolproof.

12 oz. can poured lightly into a 16 oz. mug produced a two and a half finger head that resembles coffee ice cream.
Opaque black, a hint of brown can be seen when held up to light. Arches of lacing thoughout the drink.
Chocolate and smokey malt with a sour yeast smell. Chocolate coffee and roasted malts are added to the taste.
Semi-sweet at first, bitter coffee at the finish with some hop flavor.
Rich texture across the palate. Strong carbonation, the head lasted to the end.
Overall; pretty well balanced, lots of chocolate. It was raining when I drank this. I would have this again.

On tap.
Smells of bittersweet dark chocolate, tastes of caramel malts and a big char roasted barley character. Finish is bitter dry roast.
It's a pretty solid robust porter. Great flavors but a bit out of balance I think.

Really nice, really solid porter. Rich flavors without being too heavy. Sweet, almost cola flavors finishing off with a smoky texture. Almost crushable if you have a sweet tooth.

Pours a pretty black more opaque than well-used oil, lightly heads a soft tan. The nose is filled with sweet honey-bread and molasses; a good dose of dark, ripe cherries layered underneath. As exceptional as the appearance and nose are, I was let down by how this beer tasted- none of the sweetness from the nose translates to the palate, which is largely dominated by bitter chocolate and coffee grinds underscored by a thin body of malt. The finish is fleeting and bitter, but not puckeringly so, nor terribly unpleasant.
A spectacular beer to look at and nose, but a let down in palate and finish. Probably worth what I paid for it, but not something that would see normal rotation in my lineup of porters.
