12 oz can into a pint glass.
L: Pours clear light caramel with a thin white head that recedes quickly to edge foam, steady fine carbo bubbles, almost no lacing.
S: Malty, cereal grains, a hint of dough, lightly floral, mild fruits, background expressions of hops.
T: Gently sweet malts, cereal grains, a hint of corn, lightly fruity with a touch of citrus that gives it a bite. It is a little bit bready.
F: Lightly crisp, smooth, creamy, medium to med-light bodied with a slightly bulbous middle and a medium length clean and lightly dry finish.
O: Very refreshing, clean and malty, in the middle with creaminess, easy drinking. It is very good in its style.

Looks good, like a slightly cloudy movie beer. The scent is sweet corn and a bit of lemon. Light taste, sweet corn with a bitter lemon finish

their website says that they started with a flavor profile, so i wonder if someone didn't make a play on cream ale versus cream soda.
from a can into a glass, it poured a clear, dark gold with a head that didn't linger or lace. decent carbonation. nothing about the nose really grabs me. it's balanced, but not really nuanced - i'm not getting layers. flavor is definitely vanilla - i keep looking for some sort of oak or barrel flavor, but that's probably because i'm not used to one without the other. mouthfeel was rich but not lingering.
it was good for being something different. i'd be pressed to find the right time or meal pairing for this one, and i wouldn't throw down 5 of these in one sitting, but i liked it.

a good example of a style i would like to see a lot more of out there in the market. i liked this place a lot, and while this was far from their most adventurous brew, it is real well done. super light and clear, short head on it, just more of a white patchy fizz on it. some of these can be farmy and wheat and weird, not this one, very clean golden ale type, with a delicate and simple grain bill and just enough hops on the back end. grassy and european, saaz even maybe, more hoppy than other cream ales i have had. i really enjoyed the simplistic nature of this beer, not over engineered in any way. as dry as it gets for the style, carbonated like a fine champagne, and refreshing as they come. i was more impressed with most of the other beers here, there is a lot of smart brewing and inspired stuff happening at this cool spot, but i always appreciate a brewery that still can handle the basics. this was very well brewed, but wouldnt hold my attention for more than a pint or two. locals seem to adore this place, and i can see why.

A: Pale gold with a very thin, white head.
S: malty nose with a little earthy hop. Not a big nose with hops and malt about even.
T: clean and crisp, with slight malt sweetness and a crisp bitter finish. The bitterness is assertive but not overpowering. The malt notes are not big – not a lot of sweet corn or DMS. Hop bitterness medium to a shade above. Malt sweetness is low to moderate. Hops and malt are about even on the palate – no apparent corn flavor. Finish is predominately a faint sweetness balanced by hops.
M: Light, medium carbonation.
O: A higher quality lawnmower beer.
