This review has been a long time in the making. I have frequented D-Man since there opening day more than a year ago, seeing as they opened directly behind my house it's tough to go anywhere else.
The interior is comfortable with slightly rustic bar and tables with industrial stools and eclectic chairs. With family style seating around the main table down the center of the room it's a great way to get to know your neighbors. The only two downsides to the space are that it can get a bit loud, but what ever it's a bar right, and the bathrooms aren't big enough, only one male and one female at a time. Seriously I just walk around the corner to my house and come back and it's faster.
The staff is great, everyone is always super friendly and willing to tell you about the beers, or just shoot the breeze if it's a week night and slow. I've had some fun conversations with some of them, and always look forward to talking with them.
The beers are of course phenomenal, but you can go read the reviews of those else where. With an ever changing tap selection they always get me to come back for more and they never disappoint. Last Saturday I had there imperial barrel aged chocolate milk stout and it was a kick, this week I'm looking forward to there peated scottish ale. If I am ever disappointed in a beer I always finish up with a chocolate milk stout to remind myself why they are so good.
No food. Bring your own.
The value is good a couple months ago I would have called it inexpensive at five dollars a pint, but after paying eight dollars for a tulip of of there imperial mentioned above I don't think I can say that anymore. But still definitely reasonable, and know one said you had to get the eight buck tulip there are other cheaper options as well.
I recommend this place to every one I know, and think every beer drinker in the twin cities should go and check it out it's amazing. If your from out of town and only have time to stop at one brew pub this would be it.
