If this is the "new" Prairie Standard, count me out. Prairie easily one of my favorite US breweries
and i've tried mostly all the brews and loved them but this one misses the mark. I'm told same wine yeast without the bacteria in standard though so maybe over time in the cellar it will transform to awesome?

Appearance is cloudy yellow. nothing notable about the head or pour

Smell is corn, corn chowder.. surprised no one else gets that. a slight twang of some orange in there too

Taste sways from the nose a bit, doesn't taste like corn but has a yeasty semi bitterness to it with a touch of sweetbread in the backend malt

This Saison is a hazy light-medium yellow. I have to let the sediment settle and pour the rest of the yeast in, which of course makes it a bit cloudier. The head is a bubbly white one that might obtain half a finger but fades quickly. It does keep a ring and drop some spotting behind.
The smell is nice: dusty, slightly funky, a little dry, very mildly sweet, with a bit of lemon. There's a bit of bread and cracker in the malts, very slight spiciness, and a hint of herb.
The taste is pretty much the same, dryness and herbal notes becoming stronger along with the lemony zest. It collects a bit of a pithy brine from the middle into the finish with a hint of a seltzer taste as well.
The feel is good, maybe not as dry and soft as I'd like in a Saison but with a firm crispness and pretty smooth in a light-medium body.
