Birra is a light, sessionable farmhouse ale. It is crisp with notes of black pepper and orange and goes perfectly with food.

Thanks big cheeks. Prairie labels are a gas.
A- Head dissipates rather quickly on top of a deep golden honey beer. Looks great in my favorite pint glass, with the light near sunset. Lacing does not develop, I'm okay with it.
A- Orange peel and other citrus rind, young grapes, pepper, honey. Papery almost.
T- Pepper, green grape. Quite herbal like cooking herbs. Has some flavors akin to drinking a young beer. Bready and honey, lots of honey.
M- To me, very creamy. At first it was cumbersome but as I settle in it seems about right and is enjoyable on the palate.

12oz bottle, with bottling date of in 2016 (I can't make out the stamped month and day). Label has is marked 4%ABV.
Cloudy, straw colored body, with very active rising bubble streams. Two finger white head, quietly dissipates down to a thick cap. Leaves behind some small sheets of lacing.
Aroma of yeast, lemon, and grass.
Taste of lemon and apple, with yeast that has flavors of grass, slight funk, and leather. Refreshingly dry.
Fuller mouth feel, with very good carbonation.
This is a reminder of a summertime beer that is filling, slightly sweet, and great to accompany a mid day lunch while working in the fields. Light but is a full mouthful with each sip.

L- Straw, thick head and lively ongoing carbonation.
S- Malts.
T- Hoppy > bitter, balanced with some richness. It would go well with something rich like a curry.
M- Certainly more presence than the labelled 4.5% suggests.
O- I enjoyed it. Reminds me a bit of home-brew; [FWIW therefore my wife didn't like it!]

A: pours a pale gold with a nice, frothy, two-finger head.
S: very reminiscent of kolsch, lots of lemon, as well as a prominent pilsner malt note, some apple.
T: slightly sweeter than expected, with considerably less citrus than in the nose. A good deal of spice and a nice clean bitterness, with some subtle undertones of sweet malt and apple.
M: Well carbonated and dry.
O: A very nice, if understated saison from Prairie, not a revelation, nor should it be, but a good beer, nonetheless. If you like slightly more traditional saisons (more dupont than wild beer), it is worth your time.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tulip

L: Cloudy golden orange pour. 3 fingers of foamy white head... falls fast with a solid ring of lacing.

S: Summer fruits... sweet and grassy.

T/F: Light grains... peach and apricot. Light apple and pear... hay and grass. Yeast... light black pepper for spice. Light bodied. Zesty carbonation. The finish is more dried fruit.

O: A solid and super sessionable farmhouse brew. Really great flavor for the low ABV. One you could drink all day.

Pours a cloudy gold with a thick, soapy head that quickly disappears. Yeasty, doughy smell, but not particularly strong. Taste is very drinkable and refreshing. I highly enjoy this beer.

This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a hazy golden yellow color. Though hazy, I could see extremely light streams of carbonation seen rising at a nice pace. Lacing was kind of all over the place. The smell had a slight yeasty/doughiness up front and lets in a tad of light black pepper and then a light lemon. The taste was moderately sweet but bready backed up by a nice spice from the black pepper. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. Sessionability was slightly there. The carbonation seems to be fairly subdued and it rolled across my tongue in a nice peppery doughy way. Overall, this was a good saison I’d have again.
