Reviewed from notes. Poured from 12 oz. bottle into a Brooklyn Brewery snifter.
A: Hazy dark yellow, with a big fluffy white head and medium visible carbonation.
S: Musty barnyard, cracker malts, a touch of funk, and some mild lemon citric and peppery notes. A touch of citrusy hops in the background.
T: Funky barnyard, light cracker malts, nice farmhouse yeastiness, a touch of earthy minerals and lemony citric acid, grassy and less citrus hops. A bit of pepper and some must in the hang.
M: Light body, good crackly carbonation sensation, and no alcohol to speak of.
O: Quite tasty – a nicely done saison in a 12 oz container. An enjoyable, easy drink. Recommended.

Pours all foam (~95%); pure white and fluffy, like marshmallow fluff with large bubbles. Retention is fantastic. Brew is a hazy, lemon-yellow body (actually slightly paler than lemon). Some darker brown cloudy yeast at the bottom. Fluffy lacing. Opaque brew. Yum!
Lemon, straw, and sugar dominate the aroma - starts citrus, and becomes candy. Pretty standard (non-tart) Saison aroma. Very rustic, despite the sweetness. Smells delicious.
Far less sweet than the nose indicated. First, chunky wheat and malts, riding a slightly tart, funky wave. Exceptionally rustic and traditional. There is a nice note of citric acid that follows, and the sweetness isn't completely absent, but this is not a sweet Saison.
It tastes like drinking straw laced with yeast. Aftertaste is long and drily rustic.
Mouthfeel is medium-full up front, but very drinkable, with a semi-dry long finish begging you for another sip. A slight hop bitterness on the back-end gives a slight effervescent feel, as the alcohol is non-existent. Extremely lively, with no sting or foaming.
This is an outstanding Saison across the board. It's light and easy drinking, low ABV, and full of flavor. It doesn't feature huge wild notes, nor unrestrained sweetness, that many Saisons focus on. Rather, it's fairly straightforward and delicious.
