Pours a hazed straw color with a pinky of pearl colored head. Stays hazed up, a few floaties average lacing & head retention

S: Yeatyness, wheatyness, pears, peaches & melons

T: Tart wheat, a touch of lemons, yeastiness & white pepper up front. Green apple peel, white pepper & wheat tartness as this warms. Finishes crisp, with tartness & a touch of green apple peel & orange zest

MF: Light bodied, crisp carbonation

Drinks easy, very refreshing, nice take on the style. I preferred the Standard, but this works as well. This will go down easy during our Hellishly hot summers here

A: Cloudy straw gold body with a big pillowy head. Very inviting and rustic appearance.

S: Clove and lemon zest, with a hint of banana and a bit of musty grassiness. Great bretty funk.

T: Tart lemon, pineapple, and mild white pepper. Mellow clove and mustiness in comparison to the nose. A bit of bitterness and rustic wheat malt character persists at the back end of the palate. Nothing mindblowing here, but great flavor development and balance for such a low ABV.

M: Thin, effervescent body. Dry and slightly astringent. Par for the course for a saison.

O: Could drink this alll day. If this was more availalble in CA I would pick it up regularly as a daily drinker. Great balanced flavor and aroma for such a low alcohol package. Prairie's saisons always impress!

Birra caused me to say to myself, "I think I could get into saisons."

Appearance - The beer was a nice cloudy color with a foamy white head. Lacing hugged the sides of the tulip glass.

Smell - The aroma has that musty smell that reminds me of basements in the Midwest. It was Earthy and lemony.

Taste - At the front, I get gritty lemon, something akin to mineral water, and hops. There is a sourness that does not overwhelm, and is actually quite pleasant. The finish is dry and sour, almost to a point that makes you instantaneously makes you want to drink more.

Mouthfeel - The mouthfeel clings to the tongue and the sides of the mouth allows the tart to sting the sides of the tongue. The carbonation sweeps much to the tart away, but some still lingers.

Overall - I am not big on the style, but I like this one.

Serving type- from a bottle poured into a tulip glass

Appearance- Rusty golden color, rustic looking saison, a little bit of carbonation, not much head at all

Smell- Funk, a little barnyard, little bit of a sweet nose, banana esters, clove, and a little dry on the nose as well

Taste- Dry, a little funkyness, some banana notes, clove, and a hint of carbonation to lighten it up on the palate

Mouthfeel- light and not a ton of body but that is to be expected

Overall- I payed $3.99 for this Prairie beer at a local craft pub/bottleshop I cannot complain this beer is pretty darn good...I love Prairie beers and this one was a steal for that price...CHEERS

Pours to a frothy bubbly white head and dirty gold color. Aroma is peppery, clovey, and fruity with a sour/grainy note as well. Flavor is very much in the farmhouse style with lemons, bananas, white pepper, clove and other spices mixed with soft sweet grains to make it a perfect balance. Mouthfeel is slightly puckering due to funky yeast which is a good thing. Made by people who care about the funk. Damn good call.
