$6.99 for a 24oz bottle

A- Beautiful hazy yellow/goldish color, nice thick foamy head that dissipates into a thin layer of webby laces.

S- A lot of funk, once it warms up I started getting a lot more hops, and a lot of lemon and grapefruit.

T- Very strong on the lemon and grapefruit flavors with some sourness. A little bit of hops come through, just enough for a nice balance. There is a nice sour finish, nothing to off putting or overwhelming, just enough.

M- some prickly carbonation that becomes a little smoother once it warms up a little, it is a bit thinner than I expected but fairly smooth, especially when it warms up

O- My first sour beer. Upon the first smell, I was a little worried, but to me this beer just reminds me of a lemony beer. It almost seems as if the sour notes are derived from lemon, so it in my opinion was a good sour to be my first. Not to funky, just enough.

Pours an effervescent gold with 2 fingers of pearl white head. Stays effervescent, alright lacing & faint head retention

S: Slight citric notes & tartness, a little grapefruit

T: Grapefruit pith, slight tartness up front, some lemony notes as well. Tartness, slight sourness, a bit of lemongrass as this warms, some dryness & some hay notes. Finishes dry, super tart, with hay & grapefruit notes

MF: Light/medium bodied, fairly delicate carbonation

Through the roof drinkability, not terribly sour, but I could drink this in warm weather all day long; if the price was kinder. This has a Champagne feel/vibe to it... Prairie, you have hit another home run!

500 mL bottle pours a hazed gold with a large cap of fluffy white head. Nice retention and a smattering of lace.

Nose is pungent, tropical mosaic hops that smell like they would play well with leathery brett. There is not much of a sour bacteria aroma until it warms to near room temp...Id say light grains are more prominent than anything sour if you have a cold sample. An amazingly intense farmhouse character pervades the beer, very nice.

The sourness comes out on the flavor, but more in line with a good berliner than a full on sour beer. The hop flavors are well integrated and fade quick before any bitterness is perceived. The grain is light and the yeast has a nice rustic thing going on, quite tasty. This has certainly got some wheat in it, a crisp snappiness does it impart. Another fine ale from Chase and Co. Glad I picked up 2 of them, despite the steep price tag.

A: Pours a beautiful deep hazed golden/orange color. A two finger white head forms, and recedes after a minute. Light lace is left behind.
S: First whiff showcases the huge hop aroma. Juicy tropical fruits like mango and peach. Second whiff, the light funk comes into play. Which is always in the background but works well with the hops.
T: Like the nose, hops are big up front. Juicy and tropical fruits. Mango and peach are both apparent. Followed by a sharp acidic tartness with subsequent drinks. Finishes with a light tart white grape flavor and basement funk. Which works perfectly with everything else.
M/D: A light body and effervescent carbonation. Crisp, beautifully dry, but smooth at the same time. Immensely enjoyable and drinkable. I don't want the bottle to end.

There are almost two beers here. The first shows up with a huge juicy hop burst. On second sips the sour and funk come through. Which end up intermingling perfectly. Well made, and highly recommended.

Extremely hazy to the point of being mostly impenetrable to light despite the light golden color. There's a half inch of eggshell white tightly knit head. Strong aroma of floral mosaic hops and some horse blanket funk which was a very well matched blending. The flavor is more sour initially and turns to floral to slightly citrus hops at the back of the palate. The mouth is quite smooth and delicate. This is a great beer for the hot summer.
