On tap at Mongoose Vs. Cobra, served in a tulip. Nearly clear, yellow gold, with a modest fringe of white foam and lasting skim. Aroma is full and fruity, plenty of citrus, some tropical fruit, spice and funk. Tastes of juicy grapefruit and tropical fruit, nice tartness, dank notes, a crisp and bitter, dry finish. Wild sourness nicely highlights fruity aspects of the Mosaic hops.

poured 650ml into teku.

A - Hazy golden straw with a 2 finger white fluffy head. Fades quickly into a ring and streams of tiny bubbles ascend upward all around the glass.

S - Sour rotten tropical fruit and some wet hay funk. A bit of lemon peel along with musty Brett.

T - Dry white wine with some sweet tropical notes. Lemon peel and Brett to give it the right amount of funkiness. Somewhat of a flavored Berliner style.

M - Tart with prickly carbonation and a light dry feel.

O - My first dry hopped AWA and it was quite good.

16.9 oz bottle poured into a Lindemans tumbler. Per the label, “a dry-hopped sour ale.”

Ap: A gentle pour reveals several fingers of thin, fizzy head. Body is a very light, hazy straw colored. Almost white wineish when held up to the light. Nice persistent cap of head.

Ar: Nose is to die for. Lots of cheesy ripe funk and fruity sweetness with a white wine tartness. Bit of dry hop bitterness in the back. The fruit brings to mind lemon peels.

T: Lots of peppery yeast esters, earthy funk, and more of that white wine tartness with a firm cracker malt backbone. Almost like licking a mild lemon.

Mf: Thin feel with lots of carbonation. Almost soda popish.

Overall: A very easy to drink ale that goes down too easy. Where it’s at now, it doesn’t have a full out sourness as much as a lemony tartness. Nice brett forward nose not unlike Orval with a wine like twang. Overall a nice funky and tart ale, hits the spot if you’re looking to get your brett fix without going full out lambic.
