12oz bottle at share. Near black pour with ring of beige head. Normal stout aromas of roast malts and chocolate with a little coffee thrown in. taste is the roasty, chocolate malts with the tequila barrels imparting agave notes along with a some nice alcohol warmth. Smooth.

Received from @fbarber in the NBS BIF #14. The bottling date was scuffed off but it appears to be in 2020. Poured into a Prairie stemless glass. It pours a deep walnut with minimal, mocha-colored head and lacing. There's tequila on the nose, along with roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, and a whiff of tobacco smoke. The taste is also tequila-forward. Beneath it there is a flavorful base of chocolate and coffee. But the tastes don't mesh as well as I'd expect. And there's a harsh bitterness at the finish. The mouth feel is surprisingly thin for a Prairie Stout. It's lightly carbonated and doesn't drink at 12% Overall, OK-Si is a good Stout but it isn't at Prairie's normal level of excellence.

12 oz bottle from 2015.
Poured black with paper thin mocha head which departed quickly.
Nose is dark semi sweet chocolate, dark malts, dark fruit, vanilla and tequila in the back of the bus.
Mouth is boom!!!, Tequila moved to the driver seat, chocolate malts, coffee, finishing with a slight bitterness and a nice lingering tequila finish.
Very well made stout especially if you enjoy tequila. Aged very well.
It's a shame it's no longer brewed.
Bring it back. bring it back ........

Prairie always gets the mouthfeel and look of their stouts down perfectly. The tequila barrel is odd but not offensive. Smell of the tequila has faded I’m thinking since their bottle is a few years old. I can’t read the bottling date on it though. Taste has a stronger tequila note than the smell. Alcohol is well hidden. Glad I picked it up, but I wouldn’t get another one.

Pours black with a half finger of khaki head. Head retention is okay with a few stripes of lacing left behind. Aroma is tequila right on the nose, with roasted and toasted malts behind. Flavor profile is harsh tequila, chocolate, and toasted and roasted malts. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a velvety-thin feel. Overall, huge notes of tequila in the aroma and flavor. The stout hides behind the boozy front end, but is barely visible.
Served in a 12oz snifter from a 12oz bottle.

12 Fl. Oz bottle
Served in a Prairie snifter
This beer pours black and is topped with an inch of mocha head that leaves some lacing.
The aroma has chocolate, roasted malt, hints of coffee, and tequila.
It has a cocoa taste with some roasted malt. The tequila comes in the finish.
Full, chewy mouthfeel
This is an interesting stout. I think it is the only tequila barrel aged stout that I have had. It doesn't meld as well as bourbon barrels, but I kind of like the contrast. I prefer the bourbon barrel aging, but this was a nice and welcomed change of pace.

Pour is a dark brown, nearing black hue with a big bubbled light khaki head. Aroma is fresh wood and hints of tequila upfront. As it warms, subtle spices of cinnamon and nutmeg come through. Same with the taste, interesting hints of cinnamon and pepper reminiscent of Bomb. Tequila isn't as noticeable, but barrel presence is. Mouthfeel is moderately thick, very velvety. Prarie never fails to disappoint.
