Notes/Commercial Description:
Prairie Standard is our everyday beer. Its a light, crisp saison with a hoppy finish. This beer is dry hopped 1lb per bbl with Motueka hops. A lovely New Zealand hop with a spicy lime like flavor and aroma.

A screw top. Who would've thought?

Pours a slightly hazy light golden color with a foamy half inch ivory head that dissipates slowly, lacing light lacing.

Grapefruit, tropical fruit, band-aid phenols, and a touch of barnyard funk form the aroma. Fairly sweet and reminiscent of a friendship bread starter.

Flavor reveals more phenols, slightly medicinal and plasticy, but not in a terribly negative way. Tropical fruit underlies the profile, slightly tangy, with earthy notes adding depth. There's an aura if farmhouse funk throughout.

Body is moderate, but lightened a bit by fairly spritzy carbonation. There's a hint of alcohol warmth.

Fairly complex, with enough farmhouse character to add intrigue, and enough supporting flavor to excite the palate, which most examples of the style tend to lack.

Thanks, baconsausage!

Murky, hazy golden straw color. Quickly forming head of white bubbles, but not a persistent one. Spots and smears of stick left down the glass.

As the name of the beer implies, this has a very standard, very straightforward saison aroma--which I like very much. Grain, sweetness, dry hay and grass, earthy notes, and some cracker and cereal. Some initial Band-Aid at cooler temperatures.

The flavor is similar to the aroma: sweet grain, hay and grass, mild pepper and lemon notes, moderate bitterness. Incredibly drinkable.

Medium to fuller in body for the style with moderate carbonation. I suppose I wish the body was a bit more lively.

Very nice, traditional saison.

Pours a golden color with a full white lacy head. Sweet lemon earthy aroma. Earthy, citrus, sweet pineapple. Genuine farmhouse sourness. I like this beer. Its different.
