Prairie Standard is our everyday beer. Its a light, crisp saison with a hoppy finish. This beer is dry hopped 1lb per bbl with Motueka hops. A lovely New Zealand hop with a spicy lime like flavor and aroma.

12 oz bottle courtesy of clewis901 pours a hazed gold color with a modest cap of off-white head. Decent retention and not much lace.

Nose is tropical/citric hops and plenty of saison yeast! Wow...lemony, fruity, grainy and bready. Im impressed already.

Hops carry more than their fair share of the load with some zesty yeast and sourdough bread. Yeast is there, but it is not as soft and complex as say, a Saison Dupont. A touch overcarbonated, but nothing a few swirls of the glass cant fix. Id rather a saison be overcarbed than under. Its a pretty damn good saison, one of the most rustic versions you will find this side of the Atlantic...I am really happy to have a good pseudo-local saison producer so close. Cheers to you Prairie. (739 characters)

Pours into my Hennepin stemmed glass a hazed straw color with a fluffy bone white head that settles into a frothy mass after quite awhile.Lemon oils really stand out in the nose with a hint of funk and toasted cereal grain.Quite refreshing on the palate with lemon really standing out along with mild yeasty phenols,a hint of white pepper and some toasted cereal grains in the finish.A great "table" beer to be had. (415 characters)

Poured from bottle into teku. Pours hazy and pale yellow in color with minimal bubbly head and minimal lacing. Aroma is mostly saison yeast with a citrusy lemon-lime overtone. Mouth feel is medium bodied and nicely carbonated. Palate is lemon, lime, and peppercorn…sour throughout and finishes dry. A nice saison…easy drinker. (335 characters)

Thanks, baconsausage!

Murky, hazy golden straw color. Quickly forming head of white bubbles, but not a persistent one. Spots and smears of stick left down the glass.

As the name of the beer implies, this has a very standard, very straightforward saison aroma--which I like very much. Grain, sweetness, dry hay and grass, earthy notes, and some cracker and cereal. Some initial Band-Aid at cooler temperatures.

The flavor is similar to the aroma: sweet grain, hay and grass, mild pepper and lemon notes, moderate bitterness. Incredibly drinkable.

Medium to fuller in body for the style with moderate carbonation. I suppose I wish the body was a bit more lively.

Very nice, traditional saison. (731 characters)
