Notes/Commercial Description:
Prairie Hop is our hop driven saison. This beer is packed with Simcoe and Citra hops. Notes of peach, mango, and tangerine can be found in the flavor and aroma of this beer. The beer finishes dry which helps the hops jump out of the glass flavor wise.

Pours a hazy, vibrant orange with thin white head that slowly dissipates leaving little trace. Wonderful aroma of peaches, pineapple, mango, grass and flowers. Flavors of stone fruit, citrus and a touch of yeast. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Crisp, clean finish. Complex beer with many layers. So far I'm a fan of Prairie Artisan Ales.

perfectly stated packaging, opens to reveal a most excellent aroma. It pours with a rich golden straw color, crowned by dense pale head that slowly reduces to a thin ever present visually pleasing icing for this wonderful slice of rich cake. The taste is incredible, it as if someone has taken my favorite IPA and Blended it with the best of Belgian saisons. this beer left me satisfied yet wanting another like a a drug addict needing another fix.

This seemed to be a nice hybrid between an IPA and a Saison.

In a snifter the beer was a clear gold color with a very thin tan head.

Interesting aroma. Citrus, sweet malt like an IPA. Earthy hops and spice like a saison.

Lemon, orange, pineapple taste. Earthy hops. Spice.

Wow! Really tasty. Soft in the mouth.

Thanks, baconsausage!

Hazed golden with a pillowing, persistent, near-white head of big bubbles. Decent, streaked lacing left down the glass. Very pretty saison.

Bright aroma of tropical fruits, floral notes, and mango. As the beer comes up to temperature, some of the fruit aromas fade away into more traditional farmhouse dried grass and barnyard notes. There's some mild Belgian yeast tang to this one as well, along with more classic grass and lemon notes. All things considered, I am more than impressed with this one.

As with the aroma, the citrus and tropical fruit flavors pop at the cooler temperatures. As the beer warms, American farmhouse funk, barnyard, dried grass, lemon notes, and a tiny bit of pepper emerge and combine nicely to make this an exceptionally drinkable saison. Somewhat bitter on the front of the palate, but the middle and finish are fantastic. Decidedly hoppy, yet extremely drinkable and well balanced.

Medium bodied with moderate to near full carbonation.

Very impressed so far with Prairie, and this is no exception.

Thanks to LiquidDegenerate for the bottle!

Appearance- Hazy, golden yellow with a fairly dense, bright white head.

Smell- Bready, yeasty, character mixed with fruity hops and clove. Peach and mandarin orange are the most prominent, and it has just a slight peppery note.

Taste- Definite Belgian yeast, tropical fruitiness. Has a slight hop bitterness that works really well to help dry the finish. A slight mustiness is present, along with a floral, grassy note.

Mouthfeel- Good amount of carbonation, medium body, finishes dry and slightly bitter.

Overall- Really solid stuff, and very easy to drink. I definitely look forward to trying some more offerings from Prairie.

(Served in a tulip glass)
A- This beer pours an apricot body with strands of microbubbles supporting a thick rocky snow white head.

S- The fresh raw barley aroma leads to a green grassy hop finish.

T- The nice dry but jammy apricot hops leads to some unripe stone fruit with a slight sweet finish that adds to the freshness. There are some Belgian yeast esters of green fruit and some pungent green hop notes that linger.

M- This beer has a medium-light mouthfeel with a gentle fizz and no alcohol heat.

O- The full juicy hops has some great compliments in the yeast esters and some nice malt support. This beer drinks very fast.
