Notes & Commercial Description:
Beer added by: StaveHooks on 12-22-2012

Prairie Hop is our hop driven saison. This beer is packed with Simcoe and Citra hops. Notes of peach, mango, and tangerine can be found in the flavor and aroma of this beer. The beer finishes dry which helps the hops jump out of the glass flavor wise.

750ml bottle.

Pours clear and straw colored with a two inch head of spongy, porous white. A solid skim coat on the surface and plenty of stringy lacing for the duration.

The nose leads off with a lush blend of tropical fruit and cut grass. Pears, mango, apples, and pineapples with wet hay, clove dust, and hints of pine dew with bubblegum.

Light bodied with a soft, slightly crisp mouthfeel.

Ripe, citrus-laden fruit and pine start the palate. Cut grass rubbed with light spice and pineapple skin follows through.

Finishes with a lingering, dry finish with plenty of tropical and farmhouse notes.

Great beer. Big Saison character under loads of tropical hops. (667 characters)

perfectly stated packaging, opens to reveal a most excellent aroma. It pours with a rich golden straw color, crowned by dense pale head that slowly reduces to a thin ever present visually pleasing icing for this wonderful slice of rich cake. The taste is incredible, it as if someone has taken my favorite IPA and Blended it with the best of Belgian saisons. this beer left me satisfied yet wanting another like a a drug addict needing another fix. (448 characters)

This seemed to be a nice hybrid between an IPA and a Saison.

In a snifter the beer was a clear gold color with a very thin tan head.

Interesting aroma. Citrus, sweet malt like an IPA. Earthy hops and spice like a saison.

Lemon, orange, pineapple taste. Earthy hops. Spice.

Wow! Really tasty. Soft in the mouth. (314 characters)

Pours a hazy, vibrant orange with thin white head that slowly dissipates leaving little trace. Wonderful aroma of peaches, pineapple, mango, grass and flowers. Flavors of stone fruit, citrus and a touch of yeast. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Crisp, clean finish. Complex beer with many layers. So far I'm a fan of Prairie Artisan Ales. (354 characters)

Deep gol in color with a slight haziness in the body. Vibrant carbonation bubbles are plentiful. There's a half inch of eggshell colored minuscule sized carbonation bubbles. Aroma is comprised of sourdough bread, tropical hops and grassy saison yeast. I taste a blend of sourdough bread, tropical hops and earthy saison yeas. The tropical hops really give it a unique twist. APA meets saison. There's plenty of carbonation and the mouth is crisp and refreshing. (465 characters)
