Not sure of bottling date but served cold into a glass with a golden color, small bubble white leading to a small white foam ring with no lace left behind at all.
Smell nicely citrus, lemony with a funky brett barnyard aroma in the mix
Taste spot on with the nose. barnyard citrus with a touch of funk and pleasant sour
Feel is crisp and semi dry
Overall phenomenal and better than what I remember from initially tasting at a beer festival. would actually want more of these if they are around

Poured from the bottle into a flared wine glass.

Dull orange with little head off the pour. A fleeting white head soapy, with some snapping carbonation. Doesn't leave a collar either and leaves a somewhat cloudy body appearance.

Very impressive bouquet though. Malted white toasty bread, hints of tropical fruit and mild pepper quality. Slightly dry, with a good funky brett punch.

The brett on the palate is strong with this one. Big sharp funky qualities with large dryness. Hints of baked bread and moderate funky qualities, and a slight hotness. A good hint of fruit that comes somewhere between orange and tart apricot. Quite a good amount of hotness, but without the pepper quality coming on the yeast. Quenching good solid body, with a simple depth.

Overall a solid but somewhat hot saison, staying away from complexity and huge depth and major flavors. Solid.

This poured a light golden color with a generous cap of foam. I found esters dominating the aroma with notes of lemongrass and some tartness sneaking through. It tasted zesty like a peppery Belgian triple that met with some light funk notes. Delicious.

I really did not like this, but it was my first soul farmhouse ale. I guess I just don't like sours. I could not finish my glass. The other non-taste characteristics were nice which makes me think overall it's a good beer, it just wasn't for me. The color was a vibrant yellow-ish reminding me of not-quite-ripe peaches. and the head was snow-white. It looked really awesome.

Color- cloudy gold. Full head.

Aroma- hibiscus, dry dust, hint of lemon.

Taste- A flowery, wheaty sour ale. Reminds me of a dry, sour wit beer with hints of bitter dust. I'm a sour beer fan, but this is imbalanced.

Poured from 500 ml bottle into a Liefmans Goudenband glass (my preferred all purpose beer tasting glass). Tasted June 2014.
