This beer really is a treat! Dark blast of chillies and coco had a nice balance. The beer was not very hot in terms of the peppers shining thru. The brew was smooth and I absolutely would buy it if I saw it. I would seek this, store this, drink this and much as possible.

Bottom Line: Boom!

P.S the ABV is totally hidden!

Bottle to Prairie Tulip (Purple Lettering)
12oz

Batch 5 Orange wax.

Thanks to Will or CanadianGhetto for this one

App- A solid dark brown color with no transperency with a nice 1-1/2" slightly darker brown head that faded pretty quickly. The beer was deep and dense and poured like chocolate.

Smell- Right out of the bottle, I mostly get the cacao and the vanilla. Malty and rich like a milkshake. As it warmed more of the chili aroma came out as well. A nice mix. One doesnt overpower the other and you cant detect the nuances.

Taste- This was a very flavorful and layered and detectably smooth stout. I had a couple others with Chilis and it was too harse. The balance here of the ingredients is quite nice. The sweet of the vanilla and the change to the richness of the chocolate and then the subtle hints of spice was nice.

Mouth- A solid medium body, bordered on being a thicker beer but struck the balance nicely. The carbonation was a solid medium and was a bit bubbly and creamy.

Drink- A very good beer. I enjoyed it a lot. I was glad I was able to land at least one to review and enjoy this one. Prairie does some good things. I am happy to have some goodies in the fridge to try.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a snifter. Acquired in a trade from PA-Michigander.. thanks man!

A- Pours a deep brown, nearly opaque body with a light coffee colored head that rises to an inch or so, and reduces slowly to leave some lacing and a thin layer of foam. Very nice.

S- Heavy coffee, marshmallow, dark chocolate, dark fruit, some vanilla and caramel. Coffee and roasty malt dominate the nose.

T- Yum yum.. first up is some very delicious vanilla beans, butterscotch, french vanilla, caramel. It's unusual for a stout of this magnitude to be vanilla-forward but it's been done, and in a very balanced, complex manner! On the follow through is coffee, milk chocolate, roasty malt, marshmallows, and some chilies. The aftertaste is charred and toasted.

M- Rich, velvety, heavy bodied, low carbonation. Very smooth for the ABV.

I've been looking forward to trying Bomb! and it did not disappoint. What we have here is a complex, balanced, sip demanding stout that rises above the rest. Seek it out!
