Had this on tap....now bottle format.

Pours a almost thick black oil like ale with a massive brown foamy head. Beauty.

The aroma is really nice. Dark chocolate goodness. Cocoa powder, cinnamon, hot chocolate, and vanilla. Could smell this all day.

The taste is very chocolatey on the initial sip but brings out the coffee and roastiness turns out. The chili is very subdued in the bottle format unfortunately. Got a lot more from the draft. Oh well.

Slick and oily mouthfeel. Just a tad watery.

Overall this is an outstanding beer. Unfortunately, the bottle version did not live up to the draft version. The draft version had every element on display, while the bottle version is a toned down version of all this can be. Still a world class beer that I will be searching for often.

This was a suprising beer. Pours and smells like any decent stout, nothing off the wall but solid appearance and a hint of coffee.
The taste however, is another story. It´s a big mix of coffee bean, vanilla and a charred ash kind of flavour that is right on the line of "do i like it/hate it....but in the end love it"
I didn´t notice any chilli or heat until it warmed up a little and even then it´s very mild.
Great beer, happy to have ticked it but it goes straight back on my wants list again now.

The bottle label has 13.0% ABV vice 14.0%.

The body appears India ink black with a thin, wispy dark brown head; sediment left in the bottle. Deep and rich aroma of coffee grounds, charred grain, and chocolate. The taste exudes vanilla, cocoa, and sour cherries; boozy; cigarette ash. Heavy bodied; rich and smooth; velvety mouthfeel.

My goodness, what a heavenly, heavy brew! Big, bold, and rich throughout with incredibly robust and earthy dark tones in appearance, aroma, and flavor! Depth and complexity galore and a perfect for RIS/double stout fans. Most definitely a dark ale flavored road-trip in a bottle!

And I love the catfish on the bottle cap (not that that has anything to do with the beer or its taste appeal -- it just looks cool)...
