Received in a trade and poured into my Duvel tulip.

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice chill haze golden honey hue with a solid fat one finger creamy white head that fades to leave a thin creamy blanket. No real lacing though. 3.75 (x .05 = .188)

S - Aromas of lightly sweet malts, tea leaves, juicy fruit chewing gum, faint pineapple. Rather interesting aroma, a nice tropical bubblegum aroma going on. 4.5 (x .2 = .9)

T - Taste is not quite as good as the nose. Sweeter malts, lots of herbal tea leaf flavour, light caramel, very crisp, maybe some light pear. The finish is very light bitterness. Interesting hop choice here; this beer is fresh so the lack of tropical juicy fruit gum on the taste that was there on the nose is deliberate and unfortunate. 4 (x .45 = 1.8)

M - Mouthfeel is very crisp and clean, very nice carbonation, very light drinking. 4.25 (x .1 = .425)

O - Overall, this was an interesting beer. All about the hop choice and while it led to a very pleasant nose I wish it translated over onto the taste. That being said, a very solid offering from Prairie. 4 (x .2 = .8)

Appearance- Honey amber color with a one finger head poured. Some lacing present when consumed.

Aroma- Bright hoppy smells of citrus, pine, and tropical notes.

Taste- As the nose let on this is a hoppy pale ale bordering on a ipa, but it definitely isn't. The bright hop flavors (same as the nose) are offset by slight bread/caramel malt that becomes noticeable on the back end. The finish is a down side to this beer with a dry bland bread flavor.

Mouthfeel- Smooth slightly creamy. Easy drinking with no bitterness.

Overall- Nice hop flavors in this pale ale, but the malts kind of give this an awkward finish. Overall its very good and worth a try. (87/100)
