Pours a clear golden yellow with minimal head and lacing. Left the last bit in the bottle due to yeast.

On the nose is some citrus, wheat and grain notes. Some peppery scent comes through on the end. A little bit of alcohol.

Taste is a bit piney. Has a bit of wheat taste that settle on the middle of the tongue. Finish is a slight bit funky with a good bit of alcohol. Weird for a beer that is only a bit above 5%.

Mouthfeel is very nice. Great carbonation. Light but not thin at all.

Overall this is a good beer. If you can get your hands on it it's definitely worth the try.

Pours a chill-hazed bronze/amber with a thumb of cream colored head. Never quite clears up, above average lacing & head retention

S: Pineapple, grapefruit & breadyness

T: Grapefruit, a touch of woody hops, breadyness & some pear up front. Apricot mixed with much grapefruit & grapefruit pith, plus a touch of aspirin & just little bit of pineapple, a bit of peppery hops as this warms. Finishes juicy, peppery & citrussy

MF: Medium bodied, subtle carbonation, nicely balanced, juicy

Super easy to drink, somewhat hop forward for the style, but it works. Not as mind-blowing as some of the other beers Prairie makes, but is a solid/welcome addition to the Okie beer scene. This will be in the rotation as long as I can get it

Thanks Herf!

Appearance: medium orange, hazy, bright off white head, two fingers, some lacing.

Aroma: floral, grassy, herbal hops, some mild pine with light sweet juicy fruity sweetness.

Taste: dry, grassy hops, light citrus, rustic yeast esters, light citrus fruit sweetness.

Mouthfeel: lighter bodied, creamy feel, good solid carbonation, clean and easy drinking.

Overall: well done, solid pale ale. Doesn't push any limits, but is easily quaffable and tasty without a whole lot of bitterness.

poured 12 oz bottle into snifter. Shout out to Ken for sending this to me.

A - A nice looking cloudy apricot orange. Good 2 finger white head forms and leaves a collar with splotchy lacing.

S - Big citrus aroma, grapefruit, orange, and some apricot. Nice floral hops with a bit of straw and hint of funk. Sweet biscuit malts fill it in.

T- Fruity and citrus, grapefruit, orange, apricot. More floral hops with a touch of bitterness. Some balance is found with the sweet biscuit maltiness.

M - Light bodied with a citrus, bitter, dry finish. Carbonation holds up well.

O - Just another great beer from Prairie Ales. The OK state is doing much better than "Okay."

A- Hazy, cloudy, murky orange. Probably not the most beautiful looking pale ale color I have seen. But a fluffy white head of about 2.5 fingers, along with fantastic retention and lacing make up for the color.

S- Wonderful hop profile get it started. Can almost smell the stickiness. Grapefruit pith, orange peel, and slight pine. Enough of a sweet, bready malt base to stand up to it.

T- Nice balance here. I enjoy the apricot and juicy fruits together with all the characteristics that the nose leads with. I also found a surprising, yet wonderfully timed touch of spice/pepper in the finish. I delightful surprise to say the least.

M- dry as can be. Mid body that borders on being a little heavy for the style. Near chewy almost, but finds a way to still go down fairly easy. Nice warmth in the back of the throat, and just the right amount of carbonation.

O- Another impressive brew from PAA. This brewery just seems to get me. Rugby flows well with a number of layers.

$9.99 for a 6 pack
