My beer guru brought this one over to share and it is my first Prairie Artisan beer. Excellent appearance and the smell is awesome. The taste is also excellent and it is a shockingly easy beer to drink for the alcohol content which gives it very big bonus points overall. Gotta try more of theirs in the future.

500mL bottle from LambicPentameter (thanks man!). No dicernable bottling information. Served in a goblet.

Pours a hazy pale straw yellow with almost two fingers of near-white head. Maintains a modest layer of froth with a bit of lace.

The nose is tart with acidic fruits, earthy hay and a funky yeasty note.

Flavors of grapefruit skins, lemon/lime rind, bright wheaty malt, wet hay, a rye-like spice, mildly herbal, earthen, dirty water and perhaps a touch of clove. Semi tart but refreshing similar to water with squeezed lemon. As noted previously there is no real oak character here.

Light body with plenty of carbonation. A lemon water quality with wheat and earthy notes in the dry finish.

Easy drinking but lacking the oak character that I was hoping for. Quite refreshing with some nice, light flavors nonetheless.
