A: 4.5 Yellow-gold and crystal clear. There’s a fluffy, three-inch, off-white head that dissipates rather quickly.

S: 4 Apple and funk dominate the nose at first. A bit of clove and grass fill in the background with a bit of tart lemon at the end.

T: 4 Similar to the nose. Lots of funk up front with a pretty sweet, apple juice flavor. The spice, funk, and esters are pretty nice, but they could use a bit more tartness to bring them all together.

M: 4.25 Nice body on this beer with the carbonation making it feel a bit creamy.

O: 4 I like this beer, but the apple and funk dominate a bit too much and overshadow some of the other flavors and aromas. It would be nice if there was a bit more oak and tart flavors.

Bottle: Poured a bright yellow color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of rustic malt with cat litter notes is quite interesting. Taste is also dominated by some rustic malt notes with funky ester and some cat’s litter notes that are quite powerful. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I really enjoyed this beer with quite a bit of complexity while retaining super great drinkability.
