Poured from can into tulip, good 3+ finger fluffy light tan head, excellent retention and sticky lacing. Hazyish ruby in the glass, slightly cloudy no floaties. Light bread notes on the nose. Taste is nice, caramel, toffee, toasted bread on the front end, some herbal notes and slight sweetness thru the middle and finishes with an aggressive bitterness. Little to no residual after taste, but the finish is dry and makes you go back for more. Nice beer

fairly straightforward strong ale with the usual cast of caramel/toffee, raisins, and dash of spice in the aroma and taste; the mouthfeel was a little grainy/edgy and somewhat watered down, but overall fairly enjoyable and had a nice earthy back half and aftertaste. doesn't look much and could've had a more agreeable feel to it, but at least it's not bland and maintains a moderately rewarding payoff in the flavor.

Tornado Shark from Lone Pint Brewery. Purchased on 26/5/21 from room temperature shelf at Total Wine, Selma, TX. $ 4.32 (including tax)/500 mL bottle ($0.270/oz). Stored at home at 42 degrees. Reviewed 30/5/21. Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Undated bottle. Served at 54.1 degrees in a hand washed and dried glass coffee cup, my travel beer glass. Final temperature 57.7 degrees.
Appearance – 3.5.
First pour – Pale Amber (SRM 9), hazy.
Body – Medium Amber (SRM 12), opaque. When rear-lite, translucent and caramel-colored. Light sediment which comes out with the second pour, making the rear-lighting scintillate. Unfiltered mand unpasteurized.
Head – Average (Maximum 3.5 cm, aggressive center pour), copper, medium density, rapidly diminishing, leaving a ragged three to five mm crown, a thin partial cap, and some tiny foam islands above the crown.
Lacing – Poor. A few scattered pieces of irregular lacing but no organized
Aroma – 3 – Barely noticeable roasted malt, no hops, no yeast.
Flavor – 3.5 – Begins slightly sweet with extremely weak malt and a little hop bitterness, no yeast, no ethanol (8.1 % ABV, as marked on container) taste or aroma. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. Flavors are weak and unassertive
Palate – 3.25 – Thin, watery, soft carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3 (After deducting 0.25 point for undated personal container). Generally disappointing – weak flavor and practically no aroma, thin mouthfeel, and poor lacing at only 8.1% ABV. One and done, although the price is reasonable for the quality.

Poured from a can into a pint glass.
Appearance - The beer pours a brick red color with a tiny and fizzy white head. The head fades almost instantly, leaving just a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is heaviest of a brown bread smell mixed with some caramel and a little bit of dark fruit of raisin and plum. Along with these aromas comes a touch of molasses and some brown sugar.
Taste -The taste begins with a sweet caramel malt and lightly toasted bready taste that is mixed with some flavors of cherry and plum. As the taste advances forward, a bit of medical booziness starts working its way onto the tongue, adding an almost cough syrup like flavor to the brew. At the same time, some light taste of earth and wood as well as an increase in the brown bread and the arrival of some brown sugar flavors all come to the tongue, and with the rest, leave one with a nice warming, “cough syrup”-like, but very pleasing taste, to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thick and very chewy with a carbonation level that is rather low. For the booziness and sweeter, strong ale nature of the brew the feel is excellent and makes for a nice warming slow sipper.
Overall – While having characteristics of cough syrup flavors, it does so in a great way. It is well balanced for a strong ale (which should be somewhat boozy tasting in my opinion) and makes for a nice warming slow sipper perfect for a drafty and cool day!

On tap at Piggy’s Kitchen & Bar (Houston, TX), served in a nonic half pint glass. Hazy copper brown with a cap of off white foam leaving streaky lace. Rich, malty body with toasted grains, caramel, malt and earthy, black tea bitterness. Some fruity notes, both citrus and more subtle dark fruit. Medium body, creamy smooth and moderately carbonated. Pleasantly full bodied but balanced ale.
