I pop the gold foil cap and pour a clean clear yellow beer with a dense white crown. Smells deliciously sweet and hoppy This is fresh, no skunk here! I get honey, flowers, pale malt, hops and mineral water.
A big gulp. Oh wow, this is good a spicy, crisp, golden delight. Sweet malt and hops blended to near perfection. Mildly sour, well balanced, no off flavors. Slightly tinny, but no sign of adjuncts or harsh graininess. Hint of cloves. Basic, yet not. Finishes sweet and clean, leaving my mouth feeling rejuvenated.
Drinkability? High. This is the kind of beer you drink in big gulps out of thick glassware in a dingy bar. I could drink this by the quart. Scary, really.
Czechvar is a Great Beer. All hail the true Budweiser.

Pale gold with a vanishingly brief head.
Aroma of vegetal, grassy hops and doughy pale malt.
Crisp, off-dry and slightly tart, with brisk grassy noble hops over a soft crackery pils malt base. Clean, simple, and refreshing, with no flaws. Very slight hint of sulfur in the background.
Feather-light and almost watery, emphasis here is on drinkability.
Overall, a fine quaffable pilsner. Apparently over-hyped, perhaps owing to its name conflict with the fizzy American swill, but leaving all that aside it's still a quite nice pale lager in its own right.
