A light and refreshing pale beer in the style of a German Kolsch. Slightly malty with delicate hopping to balance. Well-conditioned for exceptional smoothness and drinkability.

A few years ago this was great from tap. The cans are nowhere near as good. The past couple visits to the restaurant it seems the draft has been lacking in crispness and flavor. They need to get back to basics and treat their beer with passion. Maybe then it can return to its glory.

Pours almost clear gold with a very thin head. Tastes like corn and straw. Light body and low carbonation. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like corn and straw.

It is hard for me to get excited about a tame rendition of a style brewed for a very large restaurant chain that I would not go in. So, my duty as a BA reviewer is to say as little as possible. (Any bets on if I can do that ? )
The Blonde on the can Looks at least twice as appetizing as the one in the glass. (I know, I started bad.) Smells in the glass are as common as I can imagine. At least, Tastes tell the truth. And for sitting in the mouth? (Well, that would be easy money and a very cheap laugh.) Somebody must like BJ's; just not me. May I speak for the Medicare crowd ? (I didn't restrain myself, did I ?)

Pretty generic, doesn't have crispness you might expect from a kolsch style beer, definitely more of a belgian blonde style, has some peppery / clove notes but pretty washed out & bland
