A: Red dominates with a slight tint of mahogany brown. Definitely Irish. Very short lived head, but a long lasting thin lacing at the top with a slight amber color.
S: Slight fruity smell of cherries and toffee. Odor was rather weak and hard to discern.
T: Now this where it shines. Nice bold flavor with hints of mixed berries, and caramel. Beautiful crisp, clean finish. The finish ends in a fruity clean taste. This is a stronger, smoother drink than Killian's.
M: Solid start, bold middle and a smooth and pleasing finish. This is an all weather beer. Hearty in the winter and refreshing in the summer. So far this is my favorite among BJ's house brews.
O: This is one fine Irish Red, bold and smooth, fantastic finish and complements any dish.

A: Pours ruby red with almost no head. White bubbles.
S: Sweet, red fruits, melon, pretty simple.
T: Sweet, malty, more red fruit, still simple, but it tastes good.
M: Medium bodied and smooth.
O: Not the best beer in the world, but it's probably my favorite Irish red ale. This might not be saying much, but it's still quite good.

After you have some real good ales, this one is just plain ok. Nothing to get excited about, just ok. My last glass of this tasted slightly sweet, a little malty and metallic. It also had a metallic smell as well. I would stick to the guest beers that are on tap instead of the house brews. They do have a very fine selection of bottles as well.
