If you're a fan of craft beers and live in Northeast Ohio, you need to visit Circle A.

This place is conveniently located, easy to get to, and always has adequate parking.

Inside, it's clean, really well-lit, and the aisles aren't claustrophobic. It isn't gigantic, which means that they aren't going to have a side-splitting inventory like a couple of other places (literally like two places) within the area, but don't read too much into that - they do just fine.

Speaking of the selection - I've always been happy here. Every winter, I try to track down a really wide variety of Christmas beers, winter warmers, etc. Folks, Circle A excels in the seasonal area...EXCELS. One of the things that I really appreciate about them is that they have multiple coolers stocked with singles. It's a great setup for people like me who want to build a sizable library of things to sample without coughing up $20-40 for 4/6/12 packs. I've hit up several places in the area - Red, Wine and Brew, Macks, 101 Bottles - and Circle A often has more of the items I'm looking for than the competitors.

Finally, their social media deserves props. These guys post their new arrivals regularly, which I really appreciate. They're also responsive to questions.

Overall, I highly recommend stopping by.

Excellent selection for a smaller place. Two walls of refrigerated doors with individual slots for singles at reasonable prices. A few non refrigerated shelves with a good mixture of popular beers as well as a representation of beers styles and breweries from locals to imports. This place does not cater to quasi-beer snobs with a plethora of "meh" IPAs and myriad BudMillerCoors, instead it intentionally focuses on creating a wide variety of styles while still offering seasonals and a beer cooler with a few "economy beers". Happened to catch someone stocking beer, seemed fairly knowledgeable, but this store is clearly stocked based on taste, rather than beers that move, beers that are in vogue, or the whim of a rep trying to offload beer that doesn't sell but looks cool, like so many other places on the west side.

Great beer selection , bottles , cans , growlers . Good service , friendly people , eager to help you with your beer needs.
Will go above and beyond to get a beer you ask for , if they don't have it already . All kinds of goodies for the beer lover.

Unassuming convenient store from the outside, quaint but well stocked craft beer store inside. They had a pretty wide selection of some rare Ohio brews during my visit, all nicely displayed, as well as a very wide selection of singles lining the entire perimeter in coolers.

A good beer shop I like to hit at least once a month. It looks like your average convenient store from the outside but looks are deceiving. Inside they have a nice selection of craft beers. Not the best selection in town but it's good. What I like is that everything is available as a six-pack and a single and there is no mark-up. If a six-pack normally retails for $8.99 then they will also have a single available for $1.49. The guy who usually works there is very friendly and loves to help.

Have had poor service on multiple occasions even though this place is close to my place I won't be back. The owner has also proven rude in the past and the selection is not up to par with many similar places.

Circle A is literally right around the corner from where I live. Which makes it difficult not to go here, being as they have good prices. They are constantly working on building a more comprehensive selection. I haven't quite had one of all their usuals, and at the speed they keep bringing new things in is also a plus. However, I do wish they would do 1 per customer on specials and one-offs that come in.

Customer Service also gets high marks here. A talkative staff is a plus and the two main guys are very eager for suggestions and trying new things. I also get a lot of great recommendations.

This plus has regularly changing growler fills, a small wine selection and chips and candy and limited glassware, but glasses nonetheless. Also a beercave is available however it seems to be mostly just stocked for your run-of-the-mill Natty Ice run so I don't frequent this.

Great service, good prices, usual changing stock and a good variety keep me coming back.

A- The Circle A honestly feels and looks like a convenience store. That being said, I almost always seem to get into a craft beer discussion there, which is awesome.

The quality is surprising for this store. They keep a lot of beers in stock, and I find new things there if I skip a month or two between visits. While I don't normally find things that knock my socks off, I always walk out with a mixed 6 of things to try.

The service is what keeps me going back there. No matter who is working that store, they always have a smile and a friendly demeanor. They don't always have high knowledge on craft beer, but they are always willing to talk about it. They are happy to help, and take requests for new things.

The selection is usually nearly or just as good as the local Heinen's. While you won't ever find Black Note at Circle A, they do have a wide variety of staples from the best American brewers, staples from up and comers and lesser known brewers, as well as imports and glassware.

While I like the Circle A overall, and find it better than "OK" I also have a hard time rating it as "Outstanding," thus I gave a lot of 3.75s. I believe they have chips and snacks, but I never pay attention to this, just the brews please.

Since the decline of Southland Beverage I have made this the place I go to purchase individual bottles. I have been very pleased by the knowledge of the employees as well as their recommendations. Most of their beer is refridgerated except for bombers. They also have a growler station which I've heard is reasonable pricewise. I've noticed that they slightly mix up their selection as well when something new hits Ohio which is a good reason to stop by again.

Owner is very knowledgeable and eager to help you find the right beer. Prices are reasonable and selection is great. I was afraid after southland beverage closed I wouldn't be able to build a good six pack, but this place has a similar selection, and even has growler fills at better prices than the local brewpubs. The only drawback I can see is if your looking for bottles to be kept at room temp. Almost everything there is refrigerated.

Large selection of nice beer, 6 taps for barrel only selections and growlers coming real soon, lots of singles to create you own 6 packs. Knowledgeable staff willing to help and/or make suggestions. Don't see something you'd like, add it to the list behind the counter. These guys are trying to make a name for themselves using word of mouth. So far I'm a fan, drove in from Elyria on a buddies suggestion, they've gained a regular customer. Had a nice selection of wine too.

My brother found this store and bought my Christmas gift from here. I had to stop in and check it out. This store is by far the best in my immediate area (Brunswick) as I usually got to Buellers or Roal Park Fine Wine.

Tons of singles and plenty of bombers. Lots of harder to find beers such as Brew Kettle's White Rajah, all the Dogfish Head brews, Alesmith, and pretty much everything that ships to the area.

Today I bought 2 Dogfish Head 75min bombers which I have never seen! I am very excited to see what else they get in throughout the year!

The manager knows a good amount about his beers and is excited about his selection.

I highly suggest checking this store out! A part of me wants to keep it a secret but the other part is willing to risk competition for the rare beers supplied to keep this store open for years to come!

An update after going to this store for a while. The place is great, the owner has his stuff together, no price gouging! A KBS is $5.50 a bottle not a penny more if you were lucky enough to come in and find it there. They get all the same stuff as the surrounding stores and their business practices are exactly what you would want from a neighborhood beer store! You can go to the royal park locations but they talk bad about other stores, price gouge and the one in Strongsville forced customers to buy $30 worth of product in order to have the privilege to buy one KBS. Not what you will find at Circle A!

Just got home from Circle A. What a nice surprise. Great selection of beers. Talked to Kevin that was working, he seemed to have good knowledge of his stock and was real helpful with reccomendations. Anyone looking for a replacement for recently closed Southland Beverage this is it. Probably the same amount of beers on hand but Circle A keeps them all cold.
