Bottled 11/7/13.
In a pint glass the beer was a dark amber color. There was a smallish light tan head that left a smattering of lace.
Aroma was faint. Citrus, pine, and caramel.
Ditto on the taste. Faint grapefruit and pine, caramel malt.
This just didn't have that nice hoppiness to it that I expected. Definitely on the timid side.
Don't think I'll have this again.

Moderate head and moderate lace (spots and a single ring). The liquid is dark amber and very cloudy.
Good caramel aroma with a nice balancing, straight-up hop nose. Very much like an amber ale.
The flavor goes through many phases. First, it starts like an amber ale with lots of caramel. This transforms into a drier version with a bit of bitterness. The bitters increase in the swallow, but the aftertaste is a nice blend of the two.
