A session IPA in a can. Made with four exotic hops - Azacca, Calypso, Mosaic and Equinox. Taste is of tropical fruits, specifically passion fruit, grapefruit and apricots. Finishes with just enough toasted malt character to balance.

Tasting another session beer. I am really beginning to like these beers, especially during the warmer weather.
This one did not disappoint me. It had a nice citrus grapefruit nose that I would expect from a hoppy beer. The taste demonstrated all the hops and dryness you get out of a big hoppy beer.
Only this one is low in alcohol.

Liking it very much (353 characters)

Crisp. Citrusy, light hop profile. Lacing like 1840's French whore. Definitely a weekend starter. Certainly grilling companion. Surprisingly, a functional pallet cleanser.

This is an all purpose session that should be part of your warm weather beverage curriculum. It's also awesome this brewery is down the street from my old educational institution, St. James. One day I may have to enjoy some ice cold Lil Heaven on Academy Hill and reminisce about that time Mrs. Jordan berated me in front my 4th grade peers for not knowing we were going to an early lunch (due to my bathroom visit during the earlier announcement). (630 characters)

For a session IPA, this one has a pretty remarkable appearance. Blood orange, hazy, and two fingers of frothy white head. The last time I saw this much lace, I was rummaging through Kate Upton's lingerie drawer with Justin Verlander. I digress. The nose is a bouquet of tropical fruits, with a predominant whiff of orange peel. Taste follows suit delivering a wide array of grapefruit, lemon and mango notes. It's balanced on the back end by a grainy malt characteristic that allows the passion fruit to take center stage, without being overwhelming. This is surprisingly drinkable, and highly crushable, as the can suggests. It feels light-to-medium bodied, and were I drinking it blind, I wouldn't guess such a low ABV. A smidgen of prickliness on the tongue and I'm reminded that the session is almost (or far from) done. Seeing as how there's plenty of football left to watch, I think I'll have another. Two Roads' interpretation of the session IPA is definitely worth a try. Cheers. (987 characters)

When stopping at 2 roads I was severely underwhelmed by every beer I tasted. Their facility was very nice, their beers were sub par imo. (136 characters)

poured from a 12oz can into a stemmed pilsner (I've tried it in a basic bar glass and a duvel glass as well, loses a lot in terms of smell and taste). every can foamed up upon opening.

Poured very heady. big three inch head which left a thick one inch of lacing where the head was but not much lacing below that. nice orangy golden color, looks 'crushable'

smells citrusy with some earthyness and a little floral, mostly grapefruit, some orange, a little grass, coriander, cloves

tastes citrussy, grassy, hoppy bitterness, finishes with hints of earth and malt but mostly... water.

feel is light, a little bubbly up front and a little watery at the finish.

overall a nice session ipa that gives you what you want when you decide you can't have it all, very nicely hopped, light, more interesting on the nose but doesn't finish as well as founders all day, and drink it from a pilsner or similar glass, worth the effort more with this than others in it's class (967 characters)

12 oz can.

Pours heavily hazed tangerine amber, wispy off white tiny bubble head. Leaves nice fine sheeting.

Super fruity and tropical nose. Lots of melon and lime. Nice

Tropical fruit again on the palate. Plenty of citrus and pepper. Well done. My kinda beer.

Hope they make a lot of it (293 characters)

Just came off the review of White IPA which was nothing more than mediocre. A bit worried about this one, but let's dig in!

Pours a nice amber color with a white head. Aroma of a little sweetness with a bunch of fresh hops. Hmm we're off to a better start. Taste has a little malt backbone to begin but there is a hefty hop note when fresh. Resinous with some fruits. Fruit notes accentuated by the back end sweetness. Very light body and easy to drink 2 or 3. I'll probably take this over All Day IPA, but would love to do a side-by-side comparison. (551 characters)

Very nice, easy drinking session IPA. Lemon and citrus focused on hops, but a decent enough malt backbone (slightly bready and biscuity) to tie it all together. Definitely not an over-hopped session IPA; drinks like a solid APA. (228 characters)
